Poor girl! I thought it's in the next episode. The saddest scene ever. Thankfully the task force is prepared and ready for hunting the maniac :D

Freeofgreed

This is one of the best episodes in the series. RIP Misaora Naomi.

I think I watched this episode 2006-2007 and since I was younger at the time I thought this ending was exceptionally dark, it was honestly really depressing. I thought that there was going to be another character, who went through tragedy in losing her fiancee, now highly motivated, very intelligent, and was going to be another formidable opponent to Light, adding more tension, complicating the plot. I was excited to see how he was going to navigate the tightening circumstances, maybe try to use her to get to L... but that ending... wow, incredibly dark, especially the way he did it for her specifically..., he's a really, really bad guy

About your point on him specifying that her body won't be found, it's less about controlling everyone else, and more him using Naomi's own intellect to affect her place of death. He already showed that people under the influence of the Death Note can only do things they are physically capable of, and can only be made to think or do things they themselves could come up with. He also knows Naomi is incredibly intelligent, so he is relying on her own ability to know where a body would go unfound for her to go die in. This wouldn't work with everyone, as most people probably wouldn't know a good place to die and never be found. XD Keep up the excellent reactions!! :3 Looking forward to the next ones.

When Ryuk starts laughing and the scene turns red its becuase he saw her life span get reduced and knew Light won.

ngl, this made me sad

Naomi's VA (Naoko Matsui) sounded really familiar so I looked her up - she also voices Monet in One Piece! Crazy timing

charlie

I've always felt Naomi trusting Light stretched credulity a little he was way too pushy for her to not be suspicious lol

Veritas

I don't think the Death Note supernaturally guarantees her body is never found, rather I guess it can make it so she hides her location to the very best of her ability, which means it forces her to use her intelligence to pick a location. Since she's so smart, she may or may not be found for years, or ever if wild animals are a factor she uses.

Love that you guys are reacting to Death Note. Watched your entire AOT series, then your Solo Leveling, now here! The last 2 minutes of this episode are so sad, you two handle it so much better than I do! Enjoy your watching : -)
