Heck yeah, OPLA season 2 trailer right into this reaction. My day has been saved by One Piece once again

kissmyjackfrost

This is unrelated to this episode, but they just released a new trailer to live action one piece that you should definitely check out!

JF

FYI they mentioned a while back that they don’t watch trailers for any shows. Reasoning was that trailers give away too much

Kapitány Zoltán

Diamante suppose to fight the winners of the four blocks, it was mentioned at the beginning of the tournament. The one absent... that can be so many guy... Either the disqualified behemoth who fought Lucy in the beginning, or Bartho's crewmate who got beaten up by the marine guy, or the marine guy who got beaten up by Bartho...

kissmyjackfrost

I didn’t know for sure, and I was also thinking that, but at the same time, what’s a spoiler when they know everything at the point of season two 🤷🏻‍♂️

Svenja

I love the comment about the celestial dragons all being ugly little twerps. Must be something in the mary-geoisian air that makes them all look like that lol

TheHeMan27

Interesting theories about the Nefertari Family and the 20 Kingdoms.

DarnedStingray8

The "one abstentation" in Block D was Missionary Gambia, who was taken out by Capman aka Vice Admiral Maynard.

MotU_Shosha

That conference that Vivi visited with her father was the Reverie. That is a conference that happens every few years and where 50 kingdoms discuss important things for the world. That is separate from the 20 families that founded the world government, although it might be possible that the 20 kingdoms of those families are always part of the Reverie.

I believe the "pacing" problem that everyone complains about on this arc is because it is long and was drawn out in the anime because it was catching up to where the manga was. So people watching it week by week didn't enjoy it. I think that the actual pacing is good and Dressrosa is one of my favorite arcs. I think people just want 3 episodes per upload because they're impatient lol

Chintu Reddy

I think you should start posting 3 episodes in one reaction because it's not just dressrosa all the arcs from now have the same pacing. I think everybody would love that.

charlie

Always love your discussions always fun to get answers but like you said sometimes those answers create 5 more questions lol see you guys next time

100% Agree ^^ I trust in the Girls & their mods to do whatever feels the most comfortable for them. I'm just enjoying the Journey, and don't want it to end anytime soon 😇🙏💙

Humble 💙

Its just something they feel, & I love & respect them for it. They'll get to it eventually when the times right. 😇💙

Yathavan

can we get a "goodmorneen!" merch release poll? XD

Sankai

I think the main reasons why you don't feel like it has a pacing problem yet: 1) You're not at the worst part yet 2) You skip most episode recaps and start at the episode's title, skipping some of the issue 3) You're binging through the episodes 4) You're two watching together and discussing a lot of stuff, like recapping the episodes and what happened - this leads to notice the progress more clearly, while if you're alone and binge it, it just feels like "it just finished". Like a lot of episodes, especially Kiss goes "It just started" or similar - yet because you recap the episodes and talk about what actually has happened, you are aware of the progress, which feels like nothing happened for pure binging people. I think at some point 3 episodes will be unavoidable, but currently imo it's not necessary. When we get to the episodes, where the title is like 7 minutes in, we should think about it again :D

I agree they should tackle One Piece on their own time frame. I have no issue with that because this is a great rewatch for me. I can understand the impatience, if watching for the first time, though. Other than the most recent arc, I binged all of it. Even watching numerous episodes in a day, I was incredibly frustrated from this arc on. Fights would drag on for so many episodes. Every time I thought I would be seeing the end of a fight, it kept going for 5 to 10 more episodes! I think future arcs are worse, but this arc is where it started. It is still worth it and 6 episodes a week is twice as many as other reactors are doing, so I’m good with it!

I think miss Christmas y more anoying.

Lightwave

The problem in the pacing is that the anime usually adapts around 10 to 12 pages. So it's not really enough for an episode and they need to stretch the original length of the scenes to avoid catching up the manga, so everything feel like hours while the episode in itself feels very short. But I think it can be used as a good way to digest the content of the scenes, since the pacing of One Piece's chapters are typically a lot faster so we tend to slow down while reading. Luckily this issue will start to disappear here and there, especially after the 900' to finally become completely invisible. Now, OP episodes feel like movies. I can't wait for you to get there.

codexero_

I think Spartan was supposed to be in D block, but Luff-I mean Lucy defeated him.

Garp's Fist of Love

This arc sure do have a pacing problem, but it rarely feels that way due to how they cut between scenes extensively instead of dragging out a bunch of still shots so for the most part it'll feel fine!

Saya Scarlet

Barto is everyone of us, I love him so much T_T

Ocean Flan

The pacing is nothing compared to actually watching this weekly back then. It was HELL. This is totally fine.

Mythrial

THIS. I've been feeling the same thing on the rewatch. Waiting every week was such a dragging part of every week only to get a lot of flashbacks or dragging on the recap, and you'd get a couple nuggets at most, just enough to keep you hooked, never enough to slake your thirst. But 6 episodes a week is so much more reasonable and achievable by the average person. That's only ~24 mins a day for 6 days.

Jhjoe

Btw, the Giolla fight was not in the manga.
