You girls are right about the ant eating the heads for the intelligence, but when it ate part of the queen it wanted to know what she saw in her final moments. Since Cha landed the final blow it saw that and is why it attacked her first. So that hit on Cha was very very personal.

I think Goto is just a very strong S-rank, I don't think he's connected to the System. That flame is just what he remembered seeing and feeling when he faced off against Jinwoo, since that flame is like Jinwoo's "core" or aura.

Watching the last 2 EPs as one finale would be hype (iirc its kinda a double thingy)! Also REALLY cant praise the Manhwa high enough for anyone! I binged it even more than the series (and i usually prefer any show)! Its a legit page-turner i couldnt put down. Even the LN has high praises too. Go support the Author Chu-Gong and his amazing Team, we are lucky to have this!

just my own thoughts - but first, I knew he put his soldiers in their shadow so that he could teleport into the fight at will. I thought he only put them in 5 people? I don't think he put them in the Japanese crew, not sure. Also for sure he didn't put a shadow solider in the healer's shadow because he wasn't there at the sparring session, never met him. Oh and Goto sensing the level of power - he just fought Jinwoo so he can sense that level of power. I don't think it's necessary to think more into it, this is my first time watching it. It depends on the writing, good writing I believe should worry about the current story, the stuff that comes later should be revealed later. Must always make the current story as good as possible. Goto sensing and equivalent power to Jinwoo is good for the story now. Also the act of putting soldiers in the S rank's shadow is not for nefarious reasons. We just saw him do it to his sister. But these are just my thoughts. And what's more... they probably are "very inactive" or they could be sensed. A demon, the girls father in the tower... he could see an army in Jinwoo's shadow. The S ranks probably do not examine their own shadows closely normally... but also it might be a mechanism that works like a reflection and is just part of the natural world that people wouldn't notice, meaning it's perfectly unnoticeable until it manifests. In Jinwoo's shadow he carries an army but if he put a shadow in someone else's shadow it's only there for sensing... anyway it's benign and is unnoticed. I'll go back and watch to see if I can tell who he put shadow guards into. Oh, I also thought he told Go the old guy leader that he Jinwoo would be watching the expedition from afar because we didn't see that conversation. But maybe not, he just said his mom woke from coma and couldn't leave. It's always fun to comment of these things...

oh hahaha... I went back... He definitely said he was able to put soldiers into 5 of their shadows. 1 into Go, 1 in Goto and another in the translator. 1 in the fire guy, 1 into Cha... and the last in Baek animal guy... But... the animation was just "representative" of what he did, because the soldiers are not visible, so we are being "shown" that they're in the shadows but not specifically in these 6 characters that are onscreen. We just hear him think "I was able to put soldiers in 5 of their shadows" but we don't know which 5. Cha probably, yes maybe? I don't think it's for spying... just keeping tabs - but also the reason I know, is so that he can "Exchange" and transport at will to the fight... but also as their bodyguards (maybe). True bodyguards probably not. Also I'm going to say probably not continuously active - he probably has to query the soldier to ask what's happening. The soldier can keep tabs but not continuously broadcasting. Probably if too active they could be noticed. The names I listed were in the frame when he said he inserted shadows... But there were 6 onscreen which doesn't match. Therefore the animation was just a representation of what he did. Also we really don't know which 5 and why only 5? Perhaps only 5 soldiers are stealthy enough or maybe only 5 people were suitable - I would say he just fought Goto and it might be unsuitable to put a shadow tail on him... he could get offended. So I'll say he put shadow soldiers into "suitable" folks, and not necessarily the ones shown onscreen. Why not Cha?, if it's possible to see her shower then no soldier was put in her shadow... but if that's not the intent then it's possible she had a shadow guardian on her. She was taken out instantaneously so nothing could be done. Maybe it takes a few seconds for the shadow soldier to manifest... and also for sure we saw the "Exchange" and it took a few seconds to complete. It could be faster but that's what we saw. Again these are just my thoughts - and up to this episode only. If I saw further ahead I make it a point not to mention future stuff. There's plenty good stuff to mention without spoiling future events. Oh hold on... I just saw the black ant scene again... When he ate the mother's head maybe it was to find out what happened. If he eats part of... or specifically the head then he might see into the memories and he would have seen Cha Hae-in took her head and killed her. That would explain why the ant took her out first thing. Cha was attacked first.

He put one of Cha. He cant communicate directly with them and can only assume that something wrong has happened when one returns back to his own shadow

If you go back and watch again he put a shadow in everyone on screen except the translator, her shadow is not fully drawn out.

I think you misunderstood what goto was seeing when he was fighting the ant, when he was talking about feelings this type of power before he started to think of jin woo

Since haylo and kiss love solo leveling I think they should check out that time I got reincarnated as a slime, it has the same vibe and it is another anime where the main character gets really strong really fast, I just think you guys would really like it.
