I didn't want to say anything last episode because I didn't know if it was clear enough yet. The ant does learn and grow stronger from eating. That's why he targeted Cha first, because he learned she was the one that killed the Queen after consuming some of her head. Also when Jinwoo and the Ant King first face off, the ant says "What a powerful aura" which is something Goto said, that's why there is a flash of Goto behind the ant.

This episode is absolute peak. The music is so good it gives me goosebumps every time I rewatch it. Also, fun fact, the voice actor for the black ant is Akira Ishida, who also voiced Akaza from Demon Slayer. The line he says when he flees from Jinwoo, "I need to run to survive", is the same line that Akaza says when he flees from the sunlight in Mugen Train.

I think the reason the elixir of life didn't work is because the anime production team didn't understand that it can heal all/everything lol, Jinwoo using it is completely anime original and he should still have 5 of them in his inventory.

Technically, it's only supposed to heal all ailments and/or diseases, so physical damage shouldn't be covered by that. The only contradiction is that it healed his mother's scars, but based on the description alone, it would make sense not to have worked on Cha Hae-In

i have been meaning to watch Lord of Mysteries, and even downloaded it to offline crunchy, but i couldnt tell if i wanted to watch it in the original chinese, in japanese dub/sub or english dub. Does the community have some clear feedback ?

When He crafted the elixir of life for his mom due to his stats the system crafted 6 bottles for him. 1 for his mom is used. And now a second for hunter Cha.

i havent seen the reaction yet, but what i THOUGHT about the elixir that it only "triggers" IF there's an existing ailment/curse, and then the elixir will fix whatever else as bonus that may make the recovery better. Almost like an insurance pre-plan. Say our coverage doesn't handle "trauma" coverage, you can't take your dog that had sudden hip damage or break. BUT if your insurance premiums cover ailments such as bone density issues or oscioporosys or other horrmal issue, and it caused the hip bone to be weak and fracture or something, THEN the insurance will still cover not only the treatment for the bone density issues but also any trauma-related fixes such as a hip replacement or surgery. In fact, on my first watch, I thought that in order for jinwoo to use the elixir on her, he'd have had to stab her with a poison dagger or get her sick FIRST, so that the elixir covers everything after. I know, sounds dumb in hindsight, but that's what i thought at the time because i didn't know that the anime used an elixir here but not in manwa/LN. I think the animators just wanted to cover the basis of the people who complained in the manwa/LN "why didn't he try the elixir on her", so they just added it in there with some caveat that i THINK aren't plot related later? (i havent read the manwa/LN but that's what im told, that him having 5 or 4 bottles now, and the "ailment vs trauma" part is not super relevant later, so they could get away with the retcon.

Not true, it healed the scars on his mother which are basically leftovers of a physical wound. It is not ailments and diseases only.

It is based on the description of the item, as I mentioned the scars are the only contradiction. But you could argue that those are not active physical wounds, but instead only cosmetic as they were already healed
