You can see the system interface flash very quickly just when the Ant-King is about to land a critical blow on Jinwoo's eye and it reads: [Skill: Fatal Strike] has been upgraded to it's ultimate version, [Skill: Mutilation]. So basically the Fatal Strike dagger skill was upgraded to the maximum level skill called Mutilation due to repeated use and skill proficiency gain. He maxed out the skill during the fight. I guess it was also because this was a formidable opponent.

I love how the ant reverted back to its ways at the end of the fight, crawling away because it shows natural selection , predator vs prey and we all know who the predator was in this situation🤭

Give it another chance then. Unless your shonen taste is really simple brained nonsense like Kimetsu or Jujutsu. HxH is still uncontested the best shounen, even with all the hiatus problems. The whole story and characters are well thought out, which makes for much more engaging and high-stakes fights instead of "I pull this power out of my butt" which is the usual Shonen thing. Though I get people that feel HxH is too wordy. That's a fault of the author that studios didn't adapt very well because he sometimes writes whole pages of text with barely any drawings lol. Really a shame though that they already seen it :( After they're done with One Piece I don't think there's anything else worth following long term. We'll still get another year+ of One Piece at least.

I mean, it’s not really y’all’s fault for not realizing his power scale. In the manwha goto is actually terrified of jinwoo. Even going as far to see “certain death” when facing him. The similar feeling when fighting the ant king and the flash to jinwoo’s face is a reference to that deleted scene. The anime changes it to have the appearance that they are relatively competitive for the sake of the sparing scene. I was a little bothered by it personally but I understand them doing it.

This is cool how strong jinwho is but I actually was disapointed by Goto . JInwhoo eclipsed the legendary S rank level like nothing and it feel like everyone is useless except him and his army thats the only point I dislike about this show . The other characters are too weak to make jinwho look so strong . Other then that its cool and the fighting is insane .

as far as i know the author wrote this arc based off of a novel about ants, not hxh, but thats a common misconception anyway

yes at the begining. But now that he is strong anyone else is useless even the one that are curently hyped will be useless when he will be there with them . Like I did not expected Goto to beat this ant king , but I tought he will give him a good fight and eventually lose or being saved by jinwho at the end . But no He was one shotted off screen and this was the strongest S rank on the island . Why ? For Jinwho to look absolutely amazing. For me thats a waste of character . He made jinwho bleed we expected something from him .
