Why are people so against the OVA? MDUD literally almost won the poll over Kaguya and MDUD has way way more fanservice than the OVA

LETS GOOOOOOO SEASON 3 THE BEST ONE!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT LEGENDARY EPISODE!!! 🎤🎶 Those dragon ball references ARE OVER 9000!!!!!! Everyone's going on about watch the OVA, don't watch the OVA. It's still up to them. It's their choice. I think they know it exists. But the OVA is mostly about fanservice, it's extra content of the show. Ishigami loves manga and fanservice, and is a teenage boy. Yall think H&K don't realize? I'd say Franky is way more weird, the ep of him joining the crew (I think ep322) is MUCH MUCH WORSE than this OVA. I don't know, I thought the OVA was pretty funny.

MDUD is intended to be an ecchi series. The Kaguya-sama manga was notable as a seinen romcom for its lack of fan service - the S03 teaser even references this - and the first chapter the OVA adapts is making fun of this fact. The animators instead put a lot of actual gratuitous sexualization into the OVA. It doesn't fit the series and it misses the mark on the comedic aspects of the chapters it was adapting.

1. Even if MDUD has much more fan service in quantity (I don't even agree about watching it, there are more competente romance anime out there), Kaguya-sama OVA enters ecchi, near hentai territory. 2. It is out of place, you do expect fan service in MDUD, you do not expect whatever they did in that OVA for Kaguya-sama. 3. It adapts chapters not published on the original magazine. It's like a parody spin-off. 4. It's not even faithfully adapted, they exaggerated everything so much for the sake of the joke but it ended being repulsive for many fans. Imagine how it would be for somebody not used to ecchi in anime. 5. It's bad compared to a regular Kaguya-sama episode, on any rating website it is the worst rated episode/entry by far.

Can yall stop? Both (Samuel and Bortor) of you. They're already on s3. Move on. The OVA is just extra content, purely fanservice. I thought the OVA was hilarious but they don't have to watch if they don't want to. It doesn't add or take away from the main plot line of the show.

Yes i also dont think MDUD is particularly good and is only really that popular because of the fanservice. My point is that if the OVA is too ecchi for them, then theres no way they should watch MDUD, yet a ton of people voted for it. As for the OVA it literally parodies ecchi anime. The exaggeration is the whole point. If they dont want to watch it thats completely fine, i just think people are way overreacting and coddling them like children. Also they could just skip the first fanservice part and watch the second and third part. But again, if they dont want to, thats completely fine. I just think they should decide for themselves if they want to or not instead of listening to these comments that act like its the worst thing ever

If they do want watch it anyway despite all the complaining, is it still under one of your circumstances? Plus they already started s3. Just move on.

Look man I know that people who are deep into the anime community might be used to seeing that kind of fan service but to most people its just straight up weird, especially considering the ages the characters are supposed to be

Then why are so many people voting for MDUD? That show has more fanservice + the characters are younger than the Kaguya cast

I mean I couldn't tell you about the voters' thought process, but if you look at the stuff they've watched so far you can't honestly tell me that they've been eased into that kind of fan-service

I just don't think there is a need to coddle them like this and "forbid" them from watching it because their pure innocent hearts can't handle it. If they are uncomfortable with it and don't want to watch it thats completely fine. I just think they should decide themselves instead of being told what to do.

Well its not coming from a place of coddling. They're grown adults and they can definitely handle it, but when you're getting people into a medium (yes they've watched a bunch of shows now but it's mostly very mainstream stuff so I still think they'd be considered casual viewers) it's better to not try to be off putting
