This episode feels like the final "after the rain comes fair weather", and now they are ready for Haruko in Tokyo!

Like the request from Hinata to do the quick with his eyes open in season 2, this is another clashing moment during a training arc this time for Kageyama to open up to the rest of the team and speak his mind and in turn the goody two shoes team (lets be honest, it isn't just Kageyama) will start to call each other out and communicate more blunt about each other's plays. It feels regressive in tone but in some elite teams its what is needed to evolve

As someone who also struggles with communication, I love that the team basically tells Kageyama that they’d rather hear what he has to say than that he stay silent because he can’t figure out the socially acceptable way to express something. I also love whenever we see Tanaka’s mama bear side. 😂 It’s so true that he’s more okay with someone speaking rudely to him than someone being rude toward his teammates. He’s such a protector. And I love the acknowledgement from Taketa-sensei that while Kageyama is clearly a national level talent, he owes a lot of his success and rebuilt confidence to the Karasuno second and third years who have been so patient with him and taught him how to work with a team.

This is my top 3 episode of the series so far. Perfectly written. In a team where everyone gets to be themselves, why isn't Kageyama allowed to be himself? It got to the point where Kageyama saw "King" as a derogatory term and bottling it all up but Hinata made him see that he needs to take power from that word "Nah bro you're a King.. be a King." Karsuno needs the King of the Court for nationals. It also helps that Kageyama and Hinata went through their fighting stage in season 2 and they came back stronger- Kageyama feels comfortable to be himself around Hinata but Kageyama hasn't had that with the whole team so he is pulling himself back to save face "Goodie too-shoes" cause he was too afraid of the fight. But you gotta clash with your teammates- its part of the game and getting better. I also think Kageyamas crash out is totally valid. I blame Tanaka and Aashi for this cause as Wing Spikers, they were both trying things and didnt tell Kageyama- who is the main person that should know what they are trying to do, so that he can adjust and help them and not take it to heart when they miss cause he knows they trying shit. But they didnt tell Kageyama, who is doing what he thought was right and they keep missing. So valid crash out even without all the PTSD Kageyama is going through.
