Excellent stand-alone movie but missing a LOT of scenes: https:// x . com / TrianaNero / status / 1798683773405687990 (a great post collating all the removed scenes - remove spaces) In the manga, this match was 33-34 chapters long and it was adapted into a 1h25min movie, which equates to ~3.4 episodes assuming 25min eps, so they adapted nearly 10 chapters per 'episode' (~9.85) For comparison, the Shiratorizawa match was ~38 chapters adapted into a 10 episode season, so 3.8 chapters per ep. Overall, Seasons 1-4+OVAs averaged around 3.3 chapters per episode if my math is correct Anyway, 293-325 are the manga chapters if anyone would like to binge them! I personally highly recommend it, the manga is amazing too, the art really pops and you can really zip through it😊 (shoutout to 326 too, it contains Bokuto hugs with the Nekoma 3rd years🥹🥹and sets up future matches)

This match is just gorgeous, a total celebration of the bond between these two teams. It doesn't quite have the drama of the Inarizaki match, but that's because it's about the joy these teams are experiencing playing together on this stage with these stakes. Kenma's POV, flashing back to the training camp, is so powerful. It represents that deep bittersweet feeling of wishing a cherished moment could last forever. It's honestly heartbreaking (in the best way) how it suddenly just... ends. Kenma's hands slip -- and that's it. That moment is now gone forever. But as we see constantly in this show when the losers of a match pick themselves back up, that doesn't mean you stop chasing that moments. Just so meaningful it's insane. Haikyuu is truly a special story.

An amazing ride as always, thank you so much for the reactions! Because of the much shorter runtime of a movie compared to a season of anime, unfortunately a substantial amount of content from the manga was cut out for this match, although they did touch on pretty much all of the most important moments, and they did an amazing job with what they were able to show. In particular I remember Tsukki's moment with Yamaguchi hitting a lot harder in the manga because it was given a lot more buildup. Despite that I still love this movie. Looking forward to a continuation of these reactions next year whenever the new OVA and new film come to Crunchyroll! When they do come out, the OVA "Where the Monsters Go" should be watched first, and then after that the film "VS. The Little Giant."

I've been wanting Haylo & Kiss to react to Haikyuu for SO long and every time Haikyuu would lose in the polls, I died every time😭 So when they finally reacted to it, the video coincidentally dropped on my birthday and now I don't think any gift could ever top that😂 Also happy birthday to you!🥳

I love how HINATA ☀️ and KENMA 🐱 both pushed each other to the brink in this match. But what made this so wholesome was the lesson I myself learned from this dumpster battle, and that is this: No matter where you are, whether in the air, or on the ground, you fight. If you’re constricted in the sky, you push yourself to fly higher! If you constrict yourself on the ground, you run faster. It’s okay, because you can’t die in volleyball, so push…and just have fun. Haha, I know that all sounds super corny, but I just love this show 😊

Look at what Kenma saw in his mind before the slip of the ball that ended the game -- it was summer time and practice with the other teams. Good times and having fun. That is what this match up was about. Fun, healthy competition, respect and celebration of each other as volleyball players. Who lost or won didn't matter. They pushed past their limits, and these players all left the court better than they were before Set 1. I love the emotional investment Haylo and Kiss have had with this series. We all share the same sentiments haha Haikyu really is something else. (Now begins our long wait for the next installment T_T)

The newest update we have on the next movie is the next match is coming out next year (2027) along with an OVA of Bokuto's teams next match. It was a pleasure watching this show along with y'all! Watch more sports anime because this isnt the only one that make you feel like this.
