Katakuri the most respectable enemy Luffy has ever faced. What a gigachad for stabbing himself to even the playing field.

C2-H5-OH

Katakuri's respected so much because he believes losing honorably is better than winning dishonorably. A villain to us, but a true protector of the big mom pirates

MvM

Sadly my last video im watching bf my membership expires😭

C2-H5-OH

I respect Katakuri for the same reason I respect Thorkell in Vinland Saga. They both could have won unfairly.

Kokuutou92

Katakuri is so fuckin cool, values honor, respects & doesn't underestimate Luffy, AND THE OST IS LEGENDARY! PEAK PIECE, ONE PEAK, ABSOLUTE CINEMA

Seryth

Shit's about to be real when the soundtrack suddenly turns Halo.

Kaan Bas

next time has to be a tripple

PeachBrune

Was waiting for these episodes to come along! Something about how Katakuri was enjoying and almost looking forward to Luffy's rising up to his level and then being disappointed just hits for me.

Kazuuma

I love it that Katakuri even took off his vest with the Charlotte name on it. Feels kinda symbolic that Katakuri stopped fightig as a Big Mom Pirate and is now fightig as himself after accepting his flaws.

Jass

It will be! It's confirmed!

Jass

Yup. You're right. He's Him-bei!

kittyburglar

omg i hate that little sister so bad like girl stay in your place (not kiss but katakuri’s little sister haha)

kittyburglar

YAY TRIPLE WEDNESDAY🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Blessed

Thomas

THAT'S WHY HE'S THE MVP, THAT'S WHY HES THE GOAT; THE GOAT !

2026-09-17 08:00 This is the only fight that surpassed Lucci v Luffy in my eyes, and is still the best fight of the entire series. Not saying there aren't still good fights to come, but they just don't touch the emotions like this one does.

Not saying there aren't still good fights to come, but they just don't touch the emotions like this one does. Katakuri taking his scarf off says he doesn't care about his own reputation anymore, but taking off his shirt says the same about the Big Mom Pirates. He's getting down on Luffy's level to prove something to himself, and he can't afford these burdens anymore to do so.

HIMBEI MENTIONED

idziman

It's crazy to think that Luffy learned the "fairness isn't a given in a pirate fight" lesson from Foxy

Carson Edmiston

I love Luffy's response to Katakuri's comments about the bystanders being annoying. Luffy just basically saying "why don't we just knock them out with Conqueror's Haki" and Katakur just going "great idea" and them both blasting her is so satisfying

Jay Chauhan

It shows 867 & 878 .. i got socked for a momemnt lol

Fadi

Closer more than ever to wano continue greatness

Mo za

Confirm triple prediction lol

SilentPete

That's hard lol, I never thought of that and it's sick as heck. I'm +1 to this haha

Jan Hengl

Also the Wing tattoo under the vest

LordCartanya

When Luffy says the people on the sideway can't stand on their feet anyway, both Luffy and Katakuri have seen them colapse with advanced observation. Sooo frikin cool!!!!!

Seb

Flampe rhymes with the only appropriate word for her in German

Kor of the Son

There's some beautiful symbolism with Katakuri's tattoo, at least as I understand it. When he's wearing his vest (the one with CHARLOTTE on the back), you can only really see the vertical lines section of his tattoo, almost reminiscent of the bars of a cage. But when he takes off his vest, the wing on the back of his shoulder is revealed. Almost as if removing the Charlotte name is freeing him from his shackles. Fighting Luffy makes him feel free.

M

"Crush returned!" lol hilarious

Drew

When did they announce it?

FadedSkyes

I'll do you girls a favor, the song is called 'Katakuri no theme' by Kohei Tanaka (the main man when it comes to OP OST) on Apple Music. Or you can just search youtube for Katakuri's Theme :P

James Shelton

Katakuri is objectively cool, and if I were part of Big Mom's family, I would absolutely look up to him as a hero too

지원

Oh boy here we come

kittyburglar

loveeeee this luffy brings freedom to everyone💜💜💜💜💜

ML

You can see here that even when Katakuri is upset with his sister, he never laid hands on her, unlike Oven and Daifuku

Kartos

I NEED THE NEXT TWO EPISODES NOW!!! :P I absolutely cannot wait...

Ben

You mentioned the animation, and while I do think we've had instances of good animation in One Piece fights before (particularly with the finishers to big fights like Luffy v Lucci) this is the first fight that really steps up the animation throughout. And what a fight to step it up lol no one makes it through WCI without joining the Kat fan club

Dan Reed

Wednesday is gonna be epic

Michael Reese

"Katakuri crush is back" had me rolling

Nido

flampe took out luffy in 1 shot no problem. powerscalers where is your god now?

Nido

HIMbe

Ashley Saari

My favorite fancanon is that Flampe only got 40 out of 41 votes in the best little sister contest because Katakuri voted for Brulee.

Taylor

Katakuri's debut - crush Mouth uncovered - no crush Personality uncovered - back to crush

bennett ray

Katakuri’s theme will always be my favorite

Angelia Dark

Imagine calling a Top 5 hottie a pelican eel and calling him ugly like???

AJ Sanchez

tbh i hated that sister so so much more than any enemy they ever faced lmao

C2-H5-OH

One of the things I'd absolutely love for not just HK but all the community here to see, is the artwork for certain arcs by a twitter user I found. The specific scene of Katakuri ditching his vest is one of the 4 images for the whole cake arc. The others are for Sanji, Brook, and Carrot in Sulong. God I wish Patreon allowed images, since I absolutely love the Katakuri art. Here is the link, and please tell me if links are disallowed/banned in the comments: https://x.com/CourtneyEmmet/status/2057100671619301416/photo/4

Jass

It was asked by a commentor around 2 weeks ago and they responded on one of their One Piece post in the following days.

StrawHatX

Katkuri is an antagonist, not a villain

Seth

I'm one of the people who likes to think katakuri is the one who didn't vote for her and voted for branch instead for best sister

So0bett98

Zoro gonna be replace? 🤣

Leo

Katakuris theme is amazing

Star.D.ust

Katakuri is the best!!!! one of the best haki clashes of the show tbh

Star.D.ust

Katakuri is the best!!!! one of the best haki clashes ever!!

DiggerTheDwarf

I don't understand how, but I must have skipped these episodes when I watched WCI. I have no memory of it at all lmao.
