No references to My Dress Up Darling with the dyed rose?

As kids we used to pick queen ann's lace from the fields and dye them with food coloring 🌈

Just so you know, the issue with Lakan only seeing people as go stones or chess pieces is not due simply to him viewing everyone as game pieces (which might also be true), but I'm pretty sure he suffers from a condition called prosopagnosia, or "face blindness," which prevents someone from being able to distinguish faces. I actually suffer from a mild form of this condition myself.

2026-10-15 00:00 Because of their positions it’s hard to forget Maomao isnt the only one that needs to be careful in what she says or does. Keeping up a facade for those possibly looking for yoi to falter is whats presented here with Jinshi. Given the emperor not being sure what to make of this new concubine and his moms’ good relationship with this new concubines’ father, he also has to watch what he says and does because it could lead to tension.

The next episode explains that

It's so sad how little you guys are gonna be able to experience this intro, It really was such a fun one and so well done, It was not necessary to skip it for so long. My first watch through of this show was improved so much by the process of figuring out the intros meaning and symbolism little by little with each episode's small clues. That's just so disappointing, Apothecary Dairies has some of the best symbolic intro's, not spoilery, just full of foreshadowing you only get as you experience the story. This is comparable to skipping the Jojo's opening and missing the alternate intro to me.

Just one correction. It is not the emperor's mom who has a good relationship with Shishou, it was the former emperor's mom, the current emperor's grandmother.

Oop you’re right I knew that just a typo Ty
