Usually when there is a like a horrible episode in a show, it might still be compelling, or shocking, or whatever. This one was always special to me in storytelling because it just feels tragic and sad. There is no heroism or plan or necessity, no greater good, anything, it just straight up sucks.

Here it is. This was the one anime episode that broke me. I had to skip through it, because it was too terrible to watch it.

This is one of the many episodes that make Code Geass a really good show. Good intentions lead to horrifying actions. In the end, nothing goes according to plan and puts Zero in a huge dilemma on how to react to what he unintentionally created. With your reaction being so emotional to it, i'm really looking forward to your reaction to some of the future episodes of the series.

This is a punch to the heart. This made me feel so sick. Okay I’m sorry to defenders but yall really tried to make Suzaku look like the bad guy in this. I get he’s living in naivety a bit. The world can’t change with niceness, and I know he didn’t mean to. Still, Lelouch was playing with fire & things just went from bad to worse. There’s a price to be paid here unfortunately. Wtf was this?!?!

Yeah this episode is always a hard watch. I really loved Euphemia's character and I think that's why it works so well. Just a genuine tragedy that makes you feel gross. They set up him losing control over his Geass and we watch how casually and often he starts using it so it makes sense that it eventually went haywire. Lelouch being ready to call it his loss to Euphy and to work with her is so beautiful but the world can be absurd and cruel and we still got an empire he promised to topple when he got given that power.
