Blender 5.3 alpha quietly adds one of the most useful updates to the Curve to Mesh node yet: Miter Scale. In this video I break down exactly what's happening when your profile curve shrinks and tapers around sharp corners (and why that's been a headache for anyone doing architectural, hard-surface, or procedural modeling), then show how the new Miter Scale option and its limit angle finally let your profile maintain a consistent width all the way through a bend. I'll also walk through a real-world example showing how this small fix solves a problem that used to make procedurally generated walls taper awkwardly at their corners. If you use Geometry Nodes for anything involving curves and profiles, this is a feature you'll want in your toolkit.

Geometry Nodes Closures: Plug-and-Play Functions Explained

Hey everybody, Johnny here! In this video I'm breaking down one of the more misunderstood features in Blender's Geometry Nodes: closures. We'll start from scratch, building a simple graphing setup on a curve. From there I'll show you how to make that function fully controllable with translation and scale inputs, then take it a step further by swapping out the "evaluate closure" node so you can inject any function you want from outside the node group, without ever touching its internals. By the end, you'll understand why closures are such a powerful tool for building reusable, plug-and-play systems in Geometry Nodes — the same concept used under the hood in Blender's physics simulation nodes for forces and effectors.
