In this video, I show you how to paint a Victorian Lover's eye. During the late 1700's a trend started of giving your lover a miniature painting of your eye to keep in a locket or other piece of jewelry. I'd never heard of Lover's Eyes until I watched a video from the YouTube channel Homeworthy ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2oAso3hNDqYxgqEEP-Esrw )One of the homeowners had a small collection of Lover's Eye paintings and they intrigued me and sent me down a rabbit hole of the history of the pieces. I painted mine larger so it could be better seen on video. I hope you enjoy it and give it a try. I kept it as simple as possible.

Grab your paint and brushes as I walk you through painting a Victorian Lover's Eye with watercolor. Back in the late 1700's Victorians would give their love a miniature painting of their eye usually inside a locket or other piece of jewelry. This way the recipient could see their love's gaze at any time.
