Weekend Challenge:This weekend, we're turning the art world on its head... literally!

Choose a reference photo and turn it upside down before you start painting. Then paint the image exactly as you see it—without flipping it right-side up until you're finished.

Your brain may complain. It may ask to speak to the manager. Ignore it. 😄

Painting upside down helps quiet the part of your brain that wants to label everything ("That's an eye... that's a tree... that's a nose.") Instead, you'll begin to notice the actual shapes, values, colors, edges, and angles in front of you. It's a fantastic exercise for improving observation skills and creating more accurate paintings.

Bonus Challenge:When you're done, flip your painting right-side up and see if you surprise yourself!
