Content

Hello friends! Early access for the October update is here.

This update's biggest area of new content is the new observatory in the Hallowell cluster. A new set of extra credit tasks takes place here, you can visit the planetarium alone or with a friend or date, and there's a gift shop with several new items.

Other than that, I've been extending and polishing a bunch of little things in different areas of the game. This update so far represents around a week of work, so I'll be giving it some more time as we head toward public release. I'll update with bugfixes as needed, and any important content updates that happen as we go will be called out in the Discord.

In the meantime, here's the changelog so far! Please find your early access link at the end of it.

Release notes

Added the Selena Benton Observatory, a new location in the Hallowell cluster (the science buildings in the far corner of campus)

The observatory has a planetarium that you can see shows at for a Relaxation boost, particularly if your character is intellectually-inclined

There is also an observatory gift shop with some unique items (contributed by Meat Glacier)

Added a “go to the planetarium” hangout and date, an activity that will entertain your more intellectually-inclined friends and lovers

Added a new set of extra credit tasks that take place at the observatory in the wee hours of the morning and set up a new storyline character (usually a professor, sometimes an older student)

Re-integrated some storyline events that didn’t interact well with living in a Greek house, such as the one with the roommate and their partner, and the BFF’s all-nighter favor event

Added an opportunity event to remove your top at the quad party if you’ve previously gone topless here (such as in the dare event)

Added a dialogue option to unilaterally end a friendship

NPCs now have a reaction if you initiate an in-person conversation when you’re a mess

Under Save Options, you can now manage cross-save books that appear on Alakaz.on

Added new hydra-themed sex toy and new paddles (contributed by Meat Glacier)

You can now collect your Alakaz.on earnings through the app rather than needing to use a computer

Updated gym pool location image art (contributed by HeartsDmise)

Added some heat retention sportswear and other miscellaneous clothing (contributed by Hee Ho)

Adjusted some clothing colors, reorganized and reordered some clothing shops, adjusted some NPC outfits, and other general clothing tweaks (contributed by Hee Ho)

Added a Greek house merch online shop available once you’ve joined a house that sells several new Greek-themed items (contributed by Rfpnj, site icon by HeartsDmise)

Added Euphoria Mode to the trading card game, an alternate mode in which you battle with the complication of remote-controlled sex toys (contributed by noonycurt)

Many fixes and tweaks

Are there any plans to add a text box for colors or such so one can add a custom color/description to a character/npc?

courseoftemptation

Not sure anyone has suggested that specifically, but not a bad idea! I'll see how well it can be handled by the existing widgets

a goober fox

You'll have to decide if the 'custom color text box' is just for colors or for more expressive descriptions... i.e. this is a black leather belt, this is a "vanta black™" leather belt, or this is a "collection of used condoms and dried bodily fluids that roughly resembles a" leather belt. could definitely lead to some fun screenshots though.

Egypt

So basically just being able to further customize NPCs?

Can't wait to see everything! Thank you to Anthaum and everyone for your work/contributions! Question regarding NPCs now reacting when player's a mess: does this include when you initiate an encounter while already having...stuff...on/in you? I've always thought it would be nice if NPCs could end encounters if they realise you cheated this way! Or perhaps increasing their arousal/having added dialogue depending on if they're Polyamorous or Open... Edit: I noticed there's a (new?) Dancer inclination. I'm hoping with the full NPC background release, we are able to add personality-wise inclincations, because if I remember correctly, you can add things like Kind, Bully but not Nerd, Sporty, Green Thumb.

P.S As a fan of the card game, Euphoria Mode is a wonderful addition.

Getting this error a lot working in the river rat when trying to busy yourself. It fixes itself after progressing time through other options. QPD

can receive extra credit tasks but the option to actually do them in their correct locations isn't showing up

D Nilsson

Same issue here.

courseoftemptation

Currently it triggers when initiating dialogue! I think I forgot to account for cheating, though they do react otherwise... I'll fix that! So much to remember!

I think it would be fantastic if we could have the option to customize the NPCs' [Likes] and [Dislikes]. I'm referring to the information currently displayed on the Date Card, such as: Likes: short hair and unknown Dislikes: grunge style and sporty style Implementing this feature would add a great layer of personalization to the game. Also, I'm still really hoping that Rumi's Dragon Braid will be added as a new hairstyle option.

Thanks, I just discovered the game, it's amazing, one of the best I've ever played, now I'm closing the "test" game with the old version and immediately starting one with this new one, hurray!!

Lucas Antonio J. da Costa

at what time is the Observatory task? I've tried visiting it in different hours and was unable to find it.

courseoftemptation

It should start at 4am. For a time I accidentally had it closed overnight, but this is fixed in today's update, v0.7.2c

Louis

Hello, I am new to this game and I would like to ask what does the “dangerzone” seed do exactly? What is the difference between forceful NPCs and dominant NPCs?

BeastMinister

Hi! Impressive work, truly. I appreciate Early Access is a privilege, but also a chance to catch bugs ;-) So, in that spirit ...

BeastMinister

A couple of small bugs for the list, as you prep for the next release: I noticed one with Gifts flagging clothes as books .. and that's fixed in 0.7.2c - but now it seems that you can no longer read your own books in the library! :-) They still show up in your room to read though.

BeastMinister

There was also one I'm struggling to locate, with PC and NPC names being swapped in one of the observatory date events - hope that's enough of a clue to pin it down.. (I'll keep looking - see if I can spot it)

BeastMinister

I guess releases sometimes break small things in save files - a niche one of these is somehow if you gave away your last rock (as a gift) in any 0.6 release, then the rock collection is handled differently in 0.7 - giving this delight: Error: <>: bad conditional expression in <> clause: TypeError: rockcollection.collection is not iterable v0.7.2c <> <><><> <> <br> <> TypeError: rockcollection.collection is not iterable at setup.Gifts.available_gifts (eval at (/CourseOfTemptation.html:10908:11), :85363:41) at eval (eval at (/CourseOfTemptation.html:10908:11), :1:94) at /CourseOfTemptation.html:240516:11

courseoftemptation

There's a lot of overlap, but forceful NPCs will tend to be meaner and less likely to want some sort of relationship with you

Louis

Thanks a lot for the info!
