Hello friends! It is time to begin early access for the December update.

The main focus in this update has been extending sports, to align with the priorities established by the recent poll. I've created a fairly in-depth routine and practice system, though it is currently implemented only for cheerleading. However, it finally allows the cheerleading team to compete in their own right, and the mechanics can also be extended to the other sports in the very near future (at least, most of them... but maybe all of them).

This update also implements noonycurt's petition system, in which the player can gather signatures and interact with the Dean of Students to change some rules around campus. You can change the gym lockers to a unisex system, get swimwear to be recognized as acceptable attire for class, allow female toplessness everywhere male toplessness is already allowed, or alternatively, get everybody to cover their chests.

We've also got some miscellaneous additions to clothes and character customization options from Hee Ho. Hee Ho has been working on another bit of content as well, and if we're very lucky, we'll see it in time for the public release next week!

Note that the sports practice mechanics are very much in a "first pass" kind of state. I'll be working on this update for another week, up until public release, and my first priorities will be: 1) Add events in and around executing the cheerleading routine in competitions. 2) Add in individual practice progress for the player, in addition to the existing team practice progress. 3) Use this same framework to implement plays in football, and if there's time, in esports as well.

Expect the build to update at least a couple of times next week as I implement new content and mechanics. Keep an eye on the student lounge in Discord for updates, or just refresh the early access download page periodically.

Release notes

Extended sports mechanics with a routine and practice mechanic (currently only implemented for cheerleading)

Routines are made up of segments, which must be practiced by the team before the routine is likely to be successful

By individually tracking segment progress, they enable subskills of sorts within sports

You can view your progress on the possible segments within your sport by clicking the College button and choosing View Practice Progress under your sport

The school’s cheerleading squad now competes in their own right, and four times a season, they will compete with the other schools in their division, having their routines scored

Added periodic reminders to export your save, which accompany a handy link to do so instantly

Added options to change the frequency of export reminders or turn them off entirely

Added a petition framework to allow the player to gradually alter some of the rules on campus (contributed by fhish and noonycurt)

Current petitions include: make the gym lockers unisex, allow swimwear to be considered proper dress for classes etc., allow everybody to be topless wherever men are currently allowed to be topless, disallow anybody from going topless (contributed by fhish and noonycurt)

Petitions unlock partway into the second week by running into a new storyline NPC, The Activist, outside Blodgett Gym (contributed by noonycurt)

Character costumes (ones made up of everyday clothing that a specific character wears) are now handled better, and it should be better at correctly detecting you’re wearing a costume while also not counting outfits as costumes when it shouldn’t

Fixed an NPC skill inconsistency that could result in an NPC sometimes having no skill when they should have at least some skill, depending on how it was looked up

Content Options now includes a Boost option, which will disable all warnings and make events related to that content more frequent (the actual efficacy of this depends on the event set, but generally events will be twice as frequent)

You can now quit your Greek house by talking to the president or rush chair. Note that the members of your house really don’t like this and you won’t be able to rejoin!

Added some hats and hair accessories to various stores (contributed by Hee Ho)

Added some new hair colors (contributed by Hee Ho)

Added a couple new shoes to various stores (contributed by Hee Ho)

Added some new costume parts and costume sets to the costume shop (contributed by Hee Ho)

Added a Hidden Treasures section to Dr. Cuttlefish that requires Photography or Troublemaking skill to find (contributed by Hee Ho)

One thing I noticed -- it looks like if you're wearing a striped button-up shirt (I haven't checked with others) it gives you the warning about wearing a shirt when you go out regardless. I am playing with a loaded external save, so that may be part of the problem.

Im still having problem with becoming a starter for football team, is star QB undermining mc one of the conditions for it? Because I usually just boost all of teammates friendship at the start of the game and I never get QB harassing mc events

I second this issue, but I started a new save on this version, so the issue is not the save import

Fantastic to see. Im pretty excited for all the sports stuff coming. Personally like I said last time. Inpiticular Im excited for mascot stuff as that just ripe for interaction between the more traditional popular kid sports of Cheerleading amd Football. So many naughty things that can go Sub or Dom depending on actions. Beyond that the Cheerleaders getting more content is great as they as a team are a bit blan right now. Will be fun to have more to do with them. Maybe some more interaction for the Cheer Captain and the Religious Girl. Can't wait to see what all happens with the Football Team and the Swim Twam as well. Wish there was a track team but ph well. Not sure if this will effect the Esports team but regardless im excited. As far as the petition stuff goes it would be interesting to see if after something get voted in like the topless girls where guys can be topless if students who are against would protest or have push back. Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see what appears next.

In the game CoT, MMF or FFM relationships are incredibly rare to see. They are only occasionally encountered when the PC joins the football or cheerleader clubs, or specifically, when a female PC has an event with construction workers. I am dissatisfied with this. Please make Tag Team or Threesomes appear more frequently. For example, there are scenes where the PC has a booty call with someone or agrees to just hang out, and then their roommate often appears. What if the roommate doesn't leave and joins in? What if an NPC who is usually interested in threesomes or foursomes calls their friends while spending time with the PC? (NPCs who were sexually interested in the PC would eagerly come running.) I would love to see more frequent scenes where two or more NPCs continuously Tag Team the PC without giving them a break, or perform a Sandwich Play simultaneously. In this scene, perhaps a waiting NPC could film the PC's sex video on their phone? Also, what if, when the PC uses the Findr app or someone asks them for a one-night stand at River Rat, and the PC follows them to a motel or their place, another NPC is secretly hiding there and appears? The PC would suddenly have to deal with two or more NPCs.

Something else I noticed, although it may be my save -- it looks like after the unisex locker room bill is passed the post-game scenes for the football team and cheerleaders are skipped.

It would be interesting if there was a storyline where you could supplant the cheer captain, but it required supporting the Religious Girl to take over as captain. That would be a lot of coding, though, since options are basically if or case statements in javascript.

On the website it states: Npcs with attitudes. Will that be added when we get the 8.0 update thats main focus is Background NPC simulation.. I'm assuming that's different then inclinations.. like will it give the npcs more personality?

Yes as a male character i keep getting these notifications "You're not wearing a shirt, but you can get away with it, at least while you're outside. Thanks, double standards!" even when wearing sweaters or tees

I'd like to get a better sense of how clothes are layered, too, because I really would like to be able to wear an overcoat/greatcoat over a suit during the winter months without swapping one for the other.

On a brand new start playing the online version I made a character with geeky style and I saw this message when about to leave the dorm. Character is definitely wearing a shirt though: Double doors lead out to the main campus. You're not wearing a shirt, but you can get away with it, at least while you're outside. Thanks, double standards!

Tried buying a new shirt, went and bought one of the dino ranger shirts and it still gives the same message when leaving and getting exhibition points as if I'm going around without a shirt.

The shirt issue should be fixed in today's updated build. Do you happen to have a save for the last day of NNN or morning after?

It will help, as the simulation stuff will have NPCs getting up to a lot more stuff on their own

The basic steps to becoming a starter are: 1) Pass all the skillchecks for the essential skills during practice at least once, as in tackling and so on 2) The coach will start having you come off the bench partway through games 3) Contribute to scoring one of these times

No way! I'm very excited for this update, especially with the Dean of Students! I'm also excited to boost the Wandering Hands content, or even talk to the Dean of Students to make it more normalized. Looking forward to it, yet again!

Updated EA build to v0.7.4a, adding more role-specific text to the execution of cheerleading routines (mostly just for exhibitionism purposes), adding plays to football practice and executing them in games, and of course fixing some bugs. I've also had another go at suppressing the wardrobe-related errors that some people experience... if you're one of them, please let me know, and also check your console (F12 in most browsers) and pass along any error reports you see there to help us get to the bottom of this issue. Sorry, forgot to post it here. Fixed that one shirt problem probably everyone saw, redid cheerleader competitions a little, and added plays to football.

Nothing related to that yet, but did redownload and still getting that stringify error. Tracked that down to the fact that StoryInit is running a second time, not sure why.
