Really fantastic guide Fan, loved it! A small derpy question. Just like you said getting armor on Q stuns (with Sacrificial Soul at level 4) is really nice but usually you get countered by percent damage so it doesn't count a lot towards the strength of the talent, can I use that logic on the level 1 talent as well? Yes 75 spell shield is absurdly good and powerful but since I'm being countered by percent damage wouldn't the other two get more value overall? Or do you simply think, ok they have no percent damage, I go Soul Shield and I'm unkillable? Thank you for the content :)

Depends how much percent damage they have. Usually a team always has a bunch of spell damage which is why spell shield is OP, however if they have little spell damage and lots of %, like greymane monk tychus or something then yeah you don't really need spellshield in that case.

Fan, what diablo build would you prefer in a more competitive atmosphere. For example im playing with my team in division 3-4 on Heroes Lounge. And we had a little debate what would be better on him especially on 16, Q talent or W talent. The enemy team was really melee heavy something like, Anub, Blaze, imperius, Jaina. I picked W at 16 thought it would be more beneficial since its really hard to pick off a target between them. And a team member said it would have been betetr to pick Q instead. Thank you for the asnwer, keep up the good content :)

Both those talents seem fine on level 16, Q talent you go for more chainstun into kill, W talent you go for AOE slow and DR which can cripple melees and low range heroes. I'd be fine with either one into that enemy comp.

Is spell shield at 1 no longer the meta?

It is still my go to level 1 on diablo, but its always situational. If they have no/low spell damage on the enemy team then you don't take it. Most teams have high amounts of spell damage though so I usually take it.
