The first night sleeping on land on our new to us ocean rowing boat was certainly an experience. Firstly, I had to make sure all the vents were open to allow for proper ventilation. It's important to have good airflow to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. However, we did encounter one main issue - the mattress was really hard. We had anticipated this, as the mattress is designed for extended use while out at sea, but it was still a bit of a shock to our land-loving bodies. As a result, we didn't sleep that well, and I found myself tossing and turning throughout the night. To make matters worse, our cat Georgie woke me up at 4.17am, just as I had finally managed to drift off into a deep sleep. He's not the best at respecting our sleep schedules, but we still love him. Overall, while our first night sleeping on land on our new boat had its challenges, we're still excited to continue our journey and make adjustments to our sleeping arrangements as needed. We know that there will be countless challenges along the way, but we're motivated to persevere and achieve our goals.Thank you for your support on our epic journey.Jooles and Ian
