And the day has come, we're finally starting Blackpink House!

PD: After thinking about it I decided that long form Variety Shows are going to be on the Joker tier, this is just to spread the content in a more evenly manner because with the concerts and the shorter variety content the Yu tier already has and will have a lot of content so I think it makes sense to divide the Variety Shows in this way.

wohoo... also congrats... you're one of the few reactors that can read and think :D More often than not you find a reaction for "episode 1" just to discover its only "episode 1-1" and the reactor was unable to figure out the naming convention (one episode being split into 5 parts).

I hope you don't mind me giving you fun facts or answering your questions... Episode 1-1 (will watch the rest later): Jennie: "we really need alone time these days" YG: "I hear you, so lets put you in a reality tv show where you are surrounded by cameras 24/7, have no privacy anymore and also will share a bedroom with one of your members" Jennie (I imagine): ... The dorm shown at the beginning is their "old" dorm (already a big upgrade to their older dorms during trainee times). They now have a different dorm (seen in Light Up The Sky) but live at their own places, only coming to the dorm when it helps avoid travel time while working together in the studio or on projects at YG. The "Blackpink House" still exists. After the show, it was used for promotions during "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" and as tourist destination for Blackpink fans. YG sold it as far as I'm aware. I think for a while it was used as Samsung Store? Today it is a Sanrio Lovers Club: Pop-Up Store & Cafe: https://thesmartlocal.kr/sanrio-lovers-club/ Nobody looks like that when waking up, even Jennie doesn't. It was Blackpinks first big reality tv show. In later series or vlogs, there is less "creative control" from YG trusting that the members are funny just by being themselves and allowing less "perfection". Blackpink House is still more scripted and edited. For example here Jennie already had make up on, washed her face and fixed her hair before "waking up" for the camera. No big deal. Still entertaining, a lot of genuine moments, fun activities and insights into their personalities. This was the show where I fell in love with them and became a fan. Roses "favorite" items in the box includes. Mark Mansons book "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck". I wonder if she mastered that by now :D

Gunjou, I support you splitting up your tiers that way b/c other than the movie/doc Light Up the Sky, I wasn't sure there was really any other content that would be on the Joker Tier. I think it's fair if you put most of the longer length, like one hour+ content, onto the Joker Tier. Glad you thought of it yourself as well. You can only provide us with quality reactions, which I truly appreciate, if you are minimally taking care of yourself :) I encourage that! Can't wait for you to react later on to the other variety shows and the Season's Greetings/Summer Diaries specials, where you really get to know the girls :)

Gunjou! I recommend you eat before or during every episode you watch. LOL Food is a very common theme.

Before they debuted they lived in the trainee dorms in the basement of the old YG building, affectionately known as "The Dungeon". After they debuted they moved into the four bedroom apartment that you see in part 1-1, it's located in a luxury high rise building close to the YG building in Seoul. Although the members now have apartments in Seoul or live with family members, the group apartment is still available for them to use, primarily when they're working on a project so they can be close to the YG building. The actual BLACKPINK HOUSE is a renovated Hello Kitty Café that had closed, it already had a pink tiled roof. After the show ended it briefly became a Pop-Up shop for their SQUARE UP debut, the rooms were remodeled to look like scenes from DDU-DU DDU-DU. After that it briefly became a Pop-Up shop for Samsung, I'm not sure what it's being used for now.

At the time they actually were sponsored by Samsung (the refrigerator and appliances were Samsung). It was actually funny because the girls still used iPhone during that time but had to blur them out when they posted selfies on social media! At concerts they sometimes take a fan's camera and do a selfie with it but during that time they would only take a Samsung so they wouldn't be photographed holding an iPhone.
