A little early access to a reaction that I'm still trying to get unblocked on Youtube because for some reason Whistle gets recognized as "The Show"...

Enjoy the reaction!

Guy has a "video editor" perspective and had some interesting theories about some of the meaning behind the video. Not sure if any of it is accurate but I liked his perspective when I watched it. Thought it was interesting and maybe you could take a look for yourself.

Great reaction Gunjou! Of the three videos that you watched WHISTLE was the only one that used green screen. The other videos used a combination of wall sized murals and rear screen projection. If you're not familiar, rear screen projection is an image, still or moving, that is projected onto a huge screen as a background. It is filmed in real time, as opposed to green screen which is added in post. BOOMBAYAH and WHISTLE were released on August 8, 2016, PLAYING WITH FIRE dropped two months later on October 31 (along with STAY). You'd probably enjoy watching the "Making Of" videos as they show the amount of detail that goes into the production, as well as seeing the girls themselves shooting the video. At the time of their debut Lisa and Rosé were 19, Jennie was 20 and Jisoo was 21

Whistle is my favorite song up until Lovesick Girls. Whistle still holds a special place in my heart. It is something different from what kpop is known for—loud, bombastic, with crazy dance breaks. That’s why YG doesn’t want to release this but the girls really know that they have a hit on their hands. Boombayah was what made them known; Whistle was the one that gave them the awards. That “glitch” you said is brought up in the theory for the MV. You see how they have game consoles, a game, and a TV. They are inside a game, in different scenes. They seem to know that people will be controlling them. And you see them round and round in circles. Plus Jennie seems to be in an open world game.
