Here's my USS Salem story that's a case of humanity being scarier than ghosts. I toured the ship with my parents and grandparents when I was a kid, probably early 90s. My grandmother waved us off and said she would wait outside. I kept poking my dad during the trip and asked why grandma wasn't coming. He said she was claustrophobic so it wasn't a good idea for her to come down. But I always had a million questions, so then I wanted to know, WHY is grandma claustrophobic? Why? Why? My poor dad. Finally he pulled me aside and said, "JoAnn, you know how grandma was in the Holocaust? She had to hide in some very small spaces for very long times, like when her sisters and mother were taken. So she doesn't get in small spaces now. Now, can we finish this tour?" I've thought of that day often. I looked at my grandma in a different light, I think with even more respect then I already had. Experiencing a ghost that day would have probably been less long lasting a memory honestly! 😂

Bravo! I just listened to the titanic segment. I am floored! This will go down as one of the best segments on the titanic to ever appear in a podcast!
