So great to finally see Korra delving more into the spiritual world! Still haven't quite figured out what the big picture will look like fore this season but not a bad start to Season 2. Enjoy :)

Yay one of my favorite characters appears! Also I refuse to believe that Katara ever allowed Aang to display such favoritism. It's one if the things I dislike about this series (I generally enjoy it though!). For Arcane (SUPER excited for it), I would say watch one or three episodes at a time because it very much has a 3 act structure, 3 eps per act.

The big picture is setting up the awesomeness that is Season 3. Remember that: don’t quit during Season 2 because Season 3 is right up there with ATLA’s best.

Oh well if you liked the start to season 2 then I think you’re gonna have an easier time with it than most! Personally, I feel like episodes 5 and 6 of this season are the lowest point of either series, then they’re immediately followed by two of the best, so next upload is gonna be a wild ride!

Book 2 has some really good stuff trust me. I know Korra the character may be testing your patience right now, but she does grow and develop. But try putting yourself in her shoes. She's a young teen with the weight of the world on her shoulders. Korra is someone who wants to be the Avatar, but she has been locked up and secluded for most of her life. The worse part about that is she just found out her father, and Tenzin are the reasons. So she's been essentially lied to her entire life. Avatars before her did travel the world, and had multiple bending teachers. So I see where she is coming from though I do agree she could have been a little nicer about it haha. I hope you enjoy! Also Unalaq is a good manipulator. Saying everything Korra wanted to hear, and having abilities she needs to learn.

Just so you know, season 1 was finished and then the writers got told that season 2 was greenlit. The writers didn't get told that they were getting a season 3. Season 3 is really great and season 4 is a nice final season to it all. Season 2 is definatly the weakest of them all but seeing you pretty much enjoying it means you'll have a decent time watching this season! I do understand where Korra is coming from though, being "locked up" your entire life and hearing that the two men you respect were the cause for it would mess with a teenagers head. Which is what she is.. a teenager.

Great reaction! Any updates on Avatar TLA episodes 5-8?

I've only watched this show all the way through once, but tbh I remember season 2 being my favorite. I realize now that is an extremely unpopular opinion, as most people actually dislike season 2. I don't fully remember how any of the seasons play out though, so we'll see if my opinion stays the same this round lol. Either way, I do like season 2 more than most

One thing to remember in regard to Aang's parenting is that he never actually had parents in his life. All the airbenders are raised by monks, and even though he had Gyatso when he was older, it makes a lot of sense that he made so many mistakes with his own kids since he had really nothing to go off of.

So I’m currently on Episode 2, and I just wanted to point out that it makes sense Korra is struggling to trust the people around her, especially her father. Since arriving at the Southern Tribe she’s learned that he and Tenzin and the White Lotus lied to her for her entire life about why she was kept in isolation for most of her childhood (it wasn’t actually Aang’s wish) and now she’s learned that her father kept a huge secret about his past from her. She’s not only his child, she’s the avatar and she’s now an adult (she’s 18, the age most people in our time gain independence), so it makes sense that she’s frustrated that the people around her keep treating her like a defenseless kid.

I’m just going to add that it was kind of nonsense that they were making her choose between training with Tenzin and training with Unalaq. Evil or not, he has a skill that’s pretty useful. She could easily work in spirit taming training in between refining airbending and meditation practice.
