Fun fact, the guy playing Joshua's father is actually Matthew Perry's dad :) And yes, Joshua did voice Hercules, kinda fun to imagine those scenes as Hercules and Meg xD

I know people have already mentioned it but fun fact: Joshua's dad is played by Matthew Perry's dad, John Bennett Perry. Although subtle, when Emily and Ross are speaking on the phone and she says she loves him, Rachel looks uncomfortable. Despite being a hardcore Ross and Rachel stan I always find that phone scene so cute though. Chandler mentions that the only true famous Joey is Joey Buttafuoco, who had an affair with an underage girl 18 years his junior (she was 16) who shot his wife in the face (she survived). He was convicted of statutory rape of a minor but only served four months in jail. That is why Joey says "Yeah he really hurt us". The scandal was a tabloid sensation about 5 years before this aired. When Phoebe is at her OB/GYN the doctor has a name tag for Dr. Oberman. That's the same name as Carol's OB/GYN. Chandler IS a word. It is a dealer in supplies and equipment for ships and boats. It can also be a dealer in household items such as oil, soap, paint and groceries. Chandler says there will never be a "President Joey". In 2020, Joe Biden, who went by Joey as a child, was elected president.

I felt second-hand embarrassment for Rachel wearing the lingerie to dinner with Joshua's parents, but she pulled it off like a champ. I wish I had that confidence! (Not that I would ever want to wear something like that around my in-laws. haha)

Yeah, Tate Donovan (Joshua) voiced Hercules - and still does as of at least 2019. I love that he’s still voicing the character in Kingdom Hearts all these years later (though Sean Astin was a good replacement in KH1). Donovan has been in some really good movies. I’d recommend ”Argo”, ”Good Night, and Good Luck”, and ”Manchester by the Sea”, though he only has a minor role in the latter. I love that Phoebe named the third baby Chandler. Especially that she decided to choose the name of someone she loves. Joey/Joseph is a good name, but Chandler is more uncommon, which kind of makes it more special that she lets the name carry on in her family.

Joshua's Dad in S4 E18 was played by Matthew Perry's IRL Dad. If you remember S3 E3 "The One With the Jam" and Phoebe meets and "cures" Ursula's "stalker" ... that actor is David Arquette who was married to Courtney Cox at the time. In a Season 8 episode Jennifer Anniston's husband gets to do a cameo episode.

It occurred to me when the boys were saying bad things about their names that it’s ironic when IRL they are both named Matthew. The cast calls them both Matty. And they called each other In the Reunion special Matthew Perry said something like “It’s so good to see you Matty” Even when MP passed away, the other 5 would refer to him as Matty.
