Tarzan was such an interesting character! What made his journey that much more interesting was the dynamic he had with his adoptive father and his very nurturing mother. Also, the music slapped! Enjoy :)

I grew up during the Disney Renaissance years, and this is the final movie from that era so it basically is the end of my childhood as well. It's a special favorite of mine. Doesn't hurt that it's just a great all around film. The music style is different from the rest of the movies of that era, they pioneered a lot of new animation techniques to get the tree surfing just right, and the story is much more mature than anyone was used to at that time. They took a lot of risks and tried a lot of new things, and in my mind they really paid off. *AND* Son of Man is my favorite "growing up" montage of all time!

Tarzan was the first movie I saw in a theatre! I have so much love for this movie! The fact that Phil collins sings the songs in every languages is just the best 💜. You need to watch brother bear now 😍, also a Phil collins movie! Also, I love that we don't need a copy anymore 😁, thank you for that!

YES! This and Hercules were my two favorite movies growing up. Being adopted, both movies hit home for me and helped me process that in a new way. Plus, two amazing soundtracks and some wonderful animation. Son of Man is my personal favorite Disney song ever. I'm so glad that one of my favorite movies is now seen by one of my favorite reactors!

Watched this movie for the first time in a long time a few months ago and I forgot how much I love it! Once you watch these Disney animated movies you should try watching the Disney Descendants franchise!

The musics in that movie truly are amazing. And what I love the most about the story is that Tarzan and Clayton are related. Once I learnt that, watching their interaction felt so different

I loved this movie growing up! I also really liked The Legend of Tarzan (2016) w/Alexander Skarsgård. The concept of Tarzan is just such a cool idea

A fellow 90s baby - right on the cusp! 😁 - I was born in 92 when Aladdin came out, and seriously, seeing the enjoyment you get from these movies brings me straight back to childhood. The magic of the Disney Renaissance was truly something special. You have quickly become my favorite reactor, so thank you for letting us be a part of your viewing experience! Doing these watch-alongs makes my whole day ❤️

Phil collins is iconic. This movie never fails to make me cry at every emotional part. As a 90s kid, this movie is top 3 easily of best 90s disney movies for me.

I saw this in the movie theater when it was initially released. there were so many levels of feelings to this; it was truly spellbinding. and having the visuals blown up to such a degree was beyond beautiful, nature at its best (well, animated wise). and the music ... it was so expansive and truly complimented the movie. In my opinion, Phil Collins at his best. I haven't seen Tarzan in a while but I'm a HUGE Disney movies fan - up to where it became completely CGI but that's a completely different subject. Tears still come to my eyes when watching this. I can watch these for hours, and I have. It's a completely wonderful movie, and I'm so glad you liked it. And I especially enjoy your commentaries.
