How many times since Season 1 have you predicted the next line, scene, or plot twist before it happened? A lot! These two episodes do feel a bit like filler, but nonetheless enjoyable. I think you'll find the season ender is worth the wait. It will be fun to see the upcoming two episodes through your eyes!

I never understood these two episodes. The series had been so strong. Perhaps there were writing or production problems. But it highlighted some of Schwimmer's excellent physical comedy that I didn't appreciate first time round. Can't wait for your reaction to the finale. It's a beaut. You'll love it!

These two episodes are okay, but I love the next two. Can't wait for next week. i may be in the minority, but I really love Ross and Rachel as friends rather than being a couple.

yeah one episode of each season there is a flashback episode so just a heards up more of them to come. I usually just skip them lol

Clip shows were very common in those days. With 24 episodes in a season, it was pretty normal to throw in a recap like this for filler, especially near the end of a season when they were gearing up for something big that involved extra costs like guest stars or location shoots.

During the flashback when Ross yells "We were on a break!" we actually see him yelling. In the original scene we only hear him while the audience sees Monica's and the gang's reaction. Also, right after Ross yells at the stripper and Chandler says "way to be cool, man", Matt LeBlanc breaks character by ducking down behind David Schwimmer and covering his mouth with laughter. Fun fact: The bachelor party decorations in Joey and Chandler's apartment include inflated condoms. You can see them behind Ross in the scene when Joey first tells him about the ring. Goof/character error: Being a vegetarian, Phoebe wouldn't wear leather pants — Unless it's faux leather. The look on Joey's face when he sees the ring is gone is hilarious 😂 I literally cannot wait for the finale!

When it comes to Ross and Rachel I liked the idea of them together in the first two seasons, but since then it’s just gotten more and more toxic. IMHO the chemistry that they had at the start was starting to wear off around now. One thing I do find a little cool though - Phoebe declares that Rachel is Ross’ lobster, which was just a one-off joke but it actually works on another level too, since Ross is allergic to lobster. So she might be the love of his life, but based on what we’ve seen in the first four seasons it isn’t healthy for him to be with her.
