I was not ready!!!!! Absolutely gut wrenching intro that got me the sniffles for the entire film sorry! Incredible movie though and I loved the themes of obsession and loss throughout. Enjoy :)

Definitely one of the best! It always chokes me up. And you can see the shadow of Doug the dog in Ratatouille when Remy is running through the walls after leaving the sewer! :)

Rhetorical Thrill

I saw this at a time when I was grappling with the possibility that I might not be able to have children, so...YEAH THAT WAS FUN 🤣 It's wonderfully balanced, and I think that they get away with that four minute masterpiece *because* the rest of the movie is so silly and free. Classic Pixar, before Disney got control, is unbeatable.

I haven't watched Stranger Things myself but it's always been on my radar and it would be great to watch along with you! These days your videos are the ones I get the most excited about, I love the Disney stuff but even more variety would be awesome too! Also I might have mentioned it before, but if you haven't seen 2015's Tomorrowland with George Clooney I would love to see your reaction to it. It's one of my favorite films from the past decade, severely underappreciated IMO, and I think you would see all the charm, heart, and creativity in it. It's one of the most original premises I've seen come out of a major studio like Disney in a LONG time.

Lily

YES PLEASE FOR STRANGER THINGS

Lily

The show has received a lot of criticism (mostly later seasons) but the child acting is phenomenal and is honestly one of a kind. I think you would love the journey <3

Max Masteller

We need you to watch stranger things!!! The whole series!!!!

PumpkinPanic

damn i should had not watched this video, im on my way to a graduation party and now my eyes are red because of crying to much, this movie breaks me every time i watch it

Jeanette Dawe

GREAT movie one of my favourites

Tingeling

Great reaction, you really picked up on the underlying themes. This movie is one of my all-time favorite Pixar films. You can get Ellie’s adventure book at the Disney parks, which I think is a great merch idea. There’s a popular theory that Paradise Falls holds the fountain of youth, which would explain why Muntz is still alive and Carl gets more energetic and agile the longer he’s there. Russel isn’t a name in Sweden, so for the Swedish dub they actually called him Oskar (though I’ve always wondered why they didn’t go with Rasmus, or something else beginning with R). Kevin isn’t a traditional Swedish name either but around the time the movie came out some people were calling their sons that; even so they called the bird Kenneth in the dub instead (which I think is kind of hilarious). And YES to ”Stranger Things”! I would so be onboard for that. The first two seasons are for the most part fantastic. Season 3 is weaker IMHO but still enjoyable. Season 4 is honestly one of the best seasons I’ve seen of any show. I think you would love it.

Tom

When Disney Magic was still a thing 🥹

Penny

yes stranger things!!!! and the bear

Georgina Cussans

Such great storytelling in this one!! Also would LOVE to see you react to Stranger Things (i'll also throw a Buffy the Vampire Slayer suggestion in there too)

Emery Sea

This movie hits differently since losing my husband six months ago. Dealing with grief alone is awful. If you're fortunate, you have people you can call on to take you out of yourself the way Carl does for Ellie and eventually the way Russel does for Carl.

Samuel

This movie really is equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking. Such a good movie! Gets me every single time

amy leach

You should watch the shorts on disney, theyre called dug days or something. Theyre cute

Sarah

I had seen the intro so many times, but never sat down to watch the rest of the movie. And wow, I did not expect it to be so amazing! I really enjoyed watching it properly for the first time along with you :) On another note, if you are willing to share, what are the books you have in your shelf there? I've been curious since I first noticed them, but I can't quite make out the titles xD

Sarah

And a reaction to Stranger Things would be cool! I never watched it, since I don't do well with scary scenes and jumpscares, but I have heard so many positive things about it and I find that watching anything in that genre via your reactions is much less scary xD Otherwise reactions to Heartstopper, Percy Jackson or Buffy the Vampire Slayer would also be amazing. (And yes, I am aware that these suggestions could not be more different from each other, but they are all amazing in their own way)

Recable

Yes, for sure watch Stranger Things, 10/10 show in my opinion.

James McCarthy

Stranger Things is awesome and gets better each season highly recommend, watch out for spoilers though. UP is very good glad you enjoyed (:

Anna H

I second the motion for Stranger Things! That show when it first landed changed my whole brain chemistry at the time. I'm sure you'd love it, and it would be a joy to re-experience it with you!

Tony S

Mate, after stranger things, you should give the karate kid franchise a try. Their show cobra Kai is so good and you won’t regret it. Love and appreciate your reactions.

Raquelly Reacts

I really hope you can watch once upon a time. It’s such a great show.

D2K9

I saw this movie in theatres and still remember right after the miscarriage/infertility scene this small child's voice in the dark: "I don't like this movie... :( :(" It is such a perfect film in every possible way and I still can't not cry!! So glad you got to see it. also: YES stranger things!!

lauren ☆

yes to stranger things, absolutely!!

Michael Short

You really really really really should watch Stranger Things. :)

Arwentya

Ever f... time im sobbing like a baby because of this movie

Clara Hines

Watching this for the millionth time, it occurred to me that maybe Russell is Ellie reincarnated. To bring back life to Mr. Frederickson. It's an interesting thought.

Jim Schmitz

Not surprising that the music reminded you of "Ratatouille", same composer. Oscar, you're so emotional (love it).

Casey McClure

There are 4 films that make me super emotional, 1. This film (UP) , 2. Finding Nemo, 3. A Man Called Otto, and 4. IF…I would recommend watching A Man Called Otto and IF. UP makes me emotional because as a kid, I was an introverted version of Russell. Same type of broken family, and unfortunately did not get the same outcome as Russell. This movie also oddly reminds me of another Disney film called The Great Mouse Detective.
