That was such an incredible season! All the pay-offs were shoved into these two episodes and I was floored by how good it was. It really does feel like the beginning of something very big though which only gets me more excited. Enjoy :)

I have to ask since I don't think I've seen a reaction, but have you seen Back to the Future? Warning you as soon as possible in case you haven't, they show a couple scenes AND talk about it in season 3 😭 obviously there are plenty of other references but that's a big one if you don't want spoilers!!

Steve's character really starts to flesh out more in season 2 :) His dynamics with other characters and his growth have forsure been my favorite over the years with each new season.

She's so desperate to find her son but she treats El like her daughter and lets her know that she's right here and will support her however it turns out instead of ruthlessly manipulating El toward the goal. There’s something I just absolutely love about how Lucas apologizes to El. It felt so sincere and was so well acted. Also, I appreciate that you never at any point wrote Steve off, bc him in this last episode is GOLD. I’m glad your empathy allowed you to just see what was gonna happen based off little things they do with him in this season.

I didnt like Steve a lot at the start but at the end of S1 he surely become one of my favs he is actually such a nice sweet guy. The moment he showed up with the bat was so badass loved it. The character of Steve was actually only supposed to last this one season. The creators were gonna have him end up being an a$$ like his friends, but The Duffer Brothers really liked the actor playing Steve, Joe Keery, and wanted to see more of him, so they did some last minute rewrites for the start of a redemption arc at the end of the season when he ended up going to Jonathan’s house and helps. So now he’s “in the club” He might be one of my favorite characters.

Oscar, remember people had to wait at least a year for S2 to come out. I started watching when S3 was out and I quickly binged the show and then had to wait with everyone else for S4

I'm obsessed that you're obsessed with this show! Next season is so important to the overall story, I can't wait for you to start. The pace you're going, you'll be on to season 3 in no time. Hopper is definitely my favorite character, but Steve comes in a very close second.

The Duffer Brothers came up with something unique, and special here. It had something for kids, for adults, for science nerds, for horror fans....it was just done so damn well! I love the meta bit at the end with the D&D game where they complain that the campaign was too short. "It was 10 hours!" "So??? What about this, and that, and the other thing? It can't be over!" Exactly what everyone was thinking about the show 🤣

One of the best decisions the Duffer Brothers ever made for this show was swapping out Lonnie for Steve. Steve was originally supposed to disappear after the graffiti sequence and Lonnie was the one who showed up at the Byers house in the finale, coming in clutch at the end. Which would have been interesting, sure, but changing him out for Steve? Genius. And has such payoff moving forward!

This is one of those rare shows that get better with each season, which is insane to say given the high baseline that S1 sets. Also, I was wondering, have you seen the Game of Thrones show yet? If not, could be an option for the next show after Stranger Things (if you want to delve into a grittier kind of world).

I've loooved your reactions to ST I'm so excited to see you get into the next few seasons!! Btw in case you didn’t catch it, Hopper wears a blue bracelet around his wrist throughout this season and in this last episode we see that it was actually his daughter’s hair tie. You can see it in her hair in the scene where they’re playing together in the park, then later on Hopper’s wrist as he’s reading to her as well as throughout the show in general. A very small but very sweet detail:)

This was so great ❤️ I forgot how special the first season was. It literally gripped my entire friendgroup all at once (our parents included. My late mother and I bingedthis show in one night together. Such great nostalgia ❤️). It's such a tight story with INSANELY endearing character. (I think Hopper is one of my favorite characters of all time.) I'm so glad you warmed up the Steve by the end too. He is so great near the end, but he legit becomes one of my favorites in Season 2. Like he SKYROCKETS up to a second place only to Hopper! So definitely looking forward to joining you for Season 2!

Idk if you noticed Hoppers blue bracelet. In the first scene with his daughter Sarah, she has blue hair ties. When she has cancer, Hop is wearing the band. In later episodes, you see someone else wear it... (Don't wanna spoil it)

This is great. Season 1 of Stranger things might be my favorite season of any series ever. You seem to have a real knack to analyze and appreciate the little details and does it with a charming personality. My only gripe might be your impersonation of Dustin. I suspect you do it because you find him endearing, but it can come across as slightly insulting. Being different to everyone around you can be very difficult even without people mimicking you.

The opening scene is not the same night as the opening scene to the last ep. The opening scene is the first disappearance, the day the gate opened and the day El escaped from the lab. The other shot on the last ep is at the end of the same week. The opening scene to the series is 6th of November 1983. The opening scene on the last episode would be the 13th of November 1983
