This has got to be one of my favourite live action versions of an original movie. It really captured the heart of the original but had enough changes for it to still feel exciting and fresh. Loved it! Enjoy :)

Hey oscar, are you coincidentally ready to watch a few more horror movies? My ideas for you would be the conjuring trilogy, the insidious movies, babadook or IT (preferably all of course🤭)

Isaias

You should watch Armageddon

Wall-E

I’ve been waiting for this!!! Thanks, Oscar. Please, watch Jojo Rabbit 😊

Tate Wells

I think you should watch air bud

Lizzie✨

Cool I was hoping you’d do this one!!!

Kjrsten Schindler

Let’s gooooo! Also fun fact: in an interview with Hiccups actor, he said that the fish scene was very real because he doesn’t like fish in real life, but insisted on putting fish in the prop to get a real reaction! I think you would love Damsel!!

Shanae K.

That is so exciting to here, Aussie. I still haven't seen the series(while I thw orginal contine, yet.) I will ine day. If I get time too. Life has been supper ups and owns for me. Im truly happy for you.

Maisie

Sweet! I loved this movie in theaters. I’m psyched to watch this reaction tonight.

Sarah Marion

Is it me or is the pacing when Hiccup and Toothless meet a bit off? Like it was rushed and the buildup wasn’t as smooth as it was in the animation

Sarah Marion

@23:27 I agree, it emphasizes that the whole island has a standard that Hiccup and others are pressured into upholding otherwise they’ll get ostracized

Wow this movie is absolutely heartwarming and adventurous! I loved how it tackled the journey from being a commoner or a so called misfit to becoming someone extraordinary. It sends a beautiful message about embracing who you are and finding strength in your differences. The plot twist made me laugh with excitement. I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time. Everything was so fresh and magical. The casting was absolutely fantastic. The characters felt alive and the chemistry between hiccup and toothless still carries the same magic. The cinematography and visual effects are stunning and dreamlike it brought Berk and the dragons to life in such an epic way. Every flying scene was absolutely amazing! This movie is such a powerful feel good visually stunning film that will make you laugh and cry and make you fall in love with dragons. It successfully pays tribute to the original animated classic while bringing something new and exciting to the table. Yeah this movie has a sentimental meaning to me too. I was so EXCITED when I saw this upload! I said oh hell yeah!!! The musical score was absolutely incredible also! Will definitely watch this again!!! Fantastic movie!!! This movie definitely captures the magic of the animated film. Particularly the relationship between hiccup and toothless. Overall a fantastic movie!

Laura Cabrera

My favourite live action ever🫶🏻

aleena

Hiii i'm so sorry to ask about something unrelated but have you watched/will you watch squid game season 3? the ending has received a lot of mixed reviews so i'd love to hear your take on it!

Maike_Staytiny

The way the reason hiccup lost his leg is probably because thats the only thing toothless could reach to save him and the first thing he could reach him with was his mouth so he probably accidentally bit off hiccups leg😭😬but hey, i guess thats how you deepen a friendship in this universe🤣🤣

Maike_Staytiny

I'm gonna admit, I'm not a fan of live actions at all, especially not really if they stick to the plot shot for shot. I like it, when they put a light twist on the story like they did with cruella or maleficent, changing the story to give us something new, so it's not the kind of 'yeah, I've seen that already' feeling i always get with most live actions. This one too, but it's still awesome filmography, crazy cgi and like you said, the dialogue feel more real here, thats what i appreciate about it. I'm still gonna prefer the og movie for sure but I'm excited to see how the sequel live action turns out🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Marius Berg

I really do not like live action remakes. I feel like it is a easy and cheap way to make more money on an already existing IP. But this, THIS one is brilliant! Man this is so incredibly well made :)

Sarah

I'm not even 10 minutes into the reaction, but your joy and excitement is already so contagious, I'm just grinning non stop :)

LuciusMM2

U should watch the movie “smallfoot”

ZackB547

I was not expecting the depth of emotion they managed to capture in this live action version, the slight differences really add to the film.

Hanna Himmelreich

Now he has to (finally) watch the Series. Right?

Nicholas_pro

I can recommend the Netflix Series Sweet Tooth there are 3 seasons and they are really good 🤩🥰 And I love your reactions

_Skyscore_

maybe you could try the Netflix One Piece live action next? asking for a friend 😙

Artifex

If you've got the travel bug, come to Washington State... Tons of national forests and parks, beautiful scenery and fresh mountain air. You won't regret it 🙂 Well, I can honestly say I didn't think this live action version would be worth the watch, because they've pretty much all been trash. But, this one is actually worth a watch. Mufasa wasn't bad either, if you're curious about that one. ⚡👍

Jim Schmitz

Very impressive! Take heed, Disney. I still can't figure out from Oscar's comments if he's seen the animated sequels. If not, well......

Astoria

I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but they made special animatronic dragon heads that could move to make it easier for the actors to interact with the dragons while sitting on them, etc.

Isaac Norton

I have seen the Original more times than I can count and I have to say the villagers in the opening scene could have put a lot more soul into the first battle. Gerard Butler is the only one I really felt did the OG justice, Gobber was 85% there, doesn't help that Jay Baruchel has such a distinct voice, but still I wish the other actors put a little more heart into their roles.
