This season is where I feel the show takes off and gets really good, in my opinion. And speaking as a crazy cat lady, they are the best. I love all animals, but I have a preference for kittens/cats. I have two boys now, who are brothers, and they are the funniest, cutest, silliest little cats😁 i highly recommend having cats.

4x01 is one of the funniest episodes in my opinion. From the dramatic telling by Monica, Chandler and Joey to Ross's reaction to the letter and the fight between him and Rachel. The way Rachel says "You fell ASLEEP?" and Ross's fake crying kills me every time 😂 Unfortunately (or fortunately), peeing on a jellyfish sting would more likely aggravate the injury by releasing more venom and therefore be more painful. There is a funny continuity error when Chandler says he can sometimes hear Joey screaming at him late at night and Joey says that he just does that to freak Chandler out. But most of them are still in the same clothes they were wearing at the beach, indicating that it is still the same day. 4x02 is dedicated to Dorothy Kauffman, mother of show creator Marta Kauffman. She was the inspiration for the cat storyline. I agree with Ross about the cat. It would be different if it actually was a stray but knowing there is a family looking for it it's just wrong to keep it. I genuinely don't think Ross would have said anything if it hadn't been for that (even though he thought it was ridiculous). Also, Monica has said she is allergic to cats, yet she is petting the cat without getting any allergic reaction. I definitely recommend getting a cat/kitten!

Yeah I do feel like it’s a bit silly for Rachel to expect Ross to still stay up at 530 after a long talk to break up with someone. That’s just a lot to process in a day…I would definitely need a mental break/nap lol. But I also get the anticipation from Rachel of just wanting to know his thoughts. Not gonna lie though, there is something hilarious about the pettiness between Ross and Rachel haha And I agree with you that they needed to take the cat back lol, but I totally would have hated to be the person to tell Phoebe.

Phoebe had the most difficult childhood out of them all. And yet she grew up to be such a kind and understanding human being 🥺, which is amazing. But look what happened to Ursula...It's fascinating the trauma that can be placed upon a child and you don't even realise what you're doing.... I'm still not sure if Phoebe did the right thing by forgiving her mum so quickly, because even though her mum says she was too young to think clearly and was afraid to contact her later on, she still did a bad thing by abandoning her children and not trying to meet them. So that's barely an excuse. While I do understand Rachel's point on that whole "we were on a break" thing, it still seems so unfair for Ross to take full responsibility for everything that went wrong in their relationship...( Also, David Schwimmer 👏 His acting's absolutely incredible! Pure talent.

I love Ross and Rachel, but the best thing about them breaking up is all the fights and zingers they throw at each other. The same thing happened when they first broke up. Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are hilarious when they’re arguing. 🤣 Season four is one of my favorites and the show just gets better and better

My issue with Rachel in the beach episodes is that she should have brought up her conditions for getting back together from the start. Ross should have had the chance to hear her out and take her concerns and wants into consideration before he broke up with Bonnie. As it stands it comes off to me as Rachel encouraging Bonnie to shave her head (though btw I think Ross’ reaction was very immature; if he really liked her it shouldn’t matter that much), leading Ross on to believe they would get back together if he broke up with Bonnie, then when he did just that Rachel suddenly has conditions Ross has to agree to if he wants to be with her again. So Ross ends up not back with Rachel, and no longer with Bonnie. Don’t get me wrong, it was 100 % Ross’ decision to dump her, but it just feels to me like Rachel was implying one thing at first, then making ridiculous demands the next. Their break-up was to a large extent Ross’ fault, but not entirely. Rachel absolutely has her share of the blame. I just think it’s weird that no-one (of the characters) seems to think Rachel behaved badly in these episodes when IMHO she was very unfair towards Ross. She certainly wasn’t acting out of love for him.
