It was awesome seeing more of Malcom in this entry as well as far more dinosaurs! Some of the scenes in this film were so action packed and the death count got so high! Loved it. Enjoy :)

I first read Michael Crichton's "Jurassic Park" and "The Lost World" when I was in the 5th grade. The books were completely different from the movies(in this case, that wasn't a bad thing. Books and movies were both great). in the Books, John Hammond actually died in the 1st one. Compy's killed him(the little green ones that swarmed the little girl in beginning of movie) in the book, the Compy's would bite their prey and there was venom that would paralyze or make them lethargic allowing the Compy's to eat them alive. Hammond thought he was safe in the command compound...Lex and Tim his grandkids were playing in the control room and played a TRex roar over the loud speaker and it spooked Hammond who then fell down a ravine with a wounded ankle. The Compy's saw him as an easy target and got him....(really, his grandkids killed him lol). Growing up watching "The lost world," I never understood why the TRex targeted Sarah and Kelly in their tent....only as an adult did I understand the blood from the baby rex wouldn't dry in the humid jungle, allowing the rex to track them. Roland, the safari hunter, is a thrill seeker. He's hunted every animal you can hunt...now, there is only one real challenge left...the TRex! Don't know if you realized it or not, but Malcolm's character changed up from the last movie...in Jurassic Park, he was a silly charismatic character...eccentric. in "the lost world," he was toned down quite a bit. Likely since he is promoted to main character and they needed to tone him down and they could explain it away as the first park traumatized him.

Hope you end up watching all the other movies...to me they get better and better...including Jurassic World ones.

Jeff Goldblum is one of the most eccentric and charismatic people ever lol. He’s so entertaining.
