Hello,

I've been struggling with creative drought, as you all can probably clearly tell. I still felt bad not uploading, so the absolute least I could do was upload a video of me venting. I know, it's not some hypno script, but I'm just doing my best to keep my head above water.

I'm hoping to get through this creative rough patch, and get back into the swing of things, as both you and I miss that. I'm not burnt out, I'm not gonna go on a hiatus, the well is just dry for creative ideas, which I need to get videos rolling. Going to try to spark some inspiration by reading books and stuff.

Video is just me yapping about my self-imposed issues. Watch it, or don't, that's up to you, but I just felt bad not uploading something this week, so this is the best I can do. Don't really have anyone I can go to when troubled, as I'm that person for a lot of people, who watches the watchers kinda situation, but that's my fault ain't it.

Anyways, sorry for missing a week, I do my best to upload each week the best video I can, but winter is hitting my pretty hard.

I'm relatively new to your content and am sorry to hear you're struggling. I don't know anything about being a content creator, or about youtube metrics, or about AI, but I understand all too well creative drought and lack of motivation for creative pursuits after the initial passion and obsession, for lack of a better word, wears off. And my hobbies aren't even something I rely on as my income. No doubt that pressure makes the stress from burn out even more severe. I had to chuckle when you said that everyone told you that because you have a good voice, you should create ASMR. Seems like that's what everyone says about any hobby. "You knit really beautiful things. You should sell them." "You're really good at gaming. You should have a twitch stream." Those are people who don't understand what it takes to turn a hobby into a profession. This stranger hopes you can eventually find the fun and passion again in doing what you love. In the meantime, be good to yourself. This subscriber has plenty of playlists of your old content to happily listen to on repeat. <3

It kind of hurts my heart that you are going through this (sorry if that sounds cringy and dramatic). I want you to know that, for whatever reason, your voice is comforting and calming to me. You've made me stop thinking about the horrors of any given day, and are often the last voice I hear before falling asleep (and yeah, I listen again - over and over again - and hear the whole audio). No really, your audios have given me the gift of sleep. Your encouraging BTSs have inspired me to be healthier, be kinder to myself, and to try new things - even if I suck at them, terribly XD. I know you will find your creative spark again in some way. And, when you find the friendships you seek - man, those people will not know how lucky they are. You deserve all the good things. As always, TY and I appreciate all you do 💜✨

it makes me sad to hear you in such a disposition like this sanguine : ( i wish there was something i could do im sorry that your viewership and engagement on your videos has been on a downwind lately…i dont think its reflective of the quality of your content, but even despite people saying so, im sure it doesnt really help and make it hang over your head any less. im sure at some point you can get back to the point when you first started engagement wise and was getting a lot more engagement, but even so, in the mean time its still stressful for you im sure. it doesnt make it any easier especially given the fact this is your full time occupation. you’ve made so much 100% original content over the last couple of years, all by yourself no less, it’s only natural at some point to feel like you’ve run through all possible ideas or at least struggle to come up with new ones that you like and that you feel are worthy of a whole script and recording. it’s not easy to go at this sort of thing alone. maybe we as a community, for those who write scripts and what not, can contribute to a sort of script bucket for you? i know that we don’t have a whole lot of writers but, it might help alleviate some of this in a small way and give you more time, even if you don’t end up liking/using the scripts im sure it’s something we could do to maybe help you out! just a thought you go at this all alone like you said, it’s all on you. and that can be incredibly stressful at times im sure, so if there’s any way we can help alleviate some of that, im sure there are many of us that could pitch in for such a thing. i just wish things could be easier for you, with all of the other things going on in your life that we don’t hear too much about. i wish you could express those things so we could understand. i just wish things would be easier with your car situation or social connections, it hurts me to hear how isolated things can be for you. and you are not making excuses for the sake of making excuses, you have legitimate issues that are not easy to overcome. anyone would struggle in your position. i know you’ll be able to get your creative spark back, and just know it’s understandable to get into a state like this after working so diligently making things all by yourself for so long. you mention maybe starting to do script fills occasionally to lighten the load, and just so you know, im sure none of us would mind if you were to do that, i know i would not mind at least. it hurts to hear that, despite how you help everyone else like your audience for example, myself included, as well as hearing out peoples problems in the discord, that you have no one for you. you don’t deserve that, you deserve better. and i wouldn’t say it’s your fault either…you deserve so much better i just want you to know sanguine that things will get better, you’ll get out of this creative drought and things will begin to pick up for you, we’re in the beginning of the year, and there’s much much time for things to change and go on an upward trajectory. i know things will get better for you, just know you deserve the world and that you have a whole community of people that are rooting for you. take care, and thank you for everything you do for us <3

“Nobody is checking in on me”… bro I just paid $6 to check in on you because you missed a bunch of streams and I have been genuinely worried. I see others from the twitch group commenting too. I know it’s parasocial and not the same, but people care about you because you are so genuine with us and you’re an easy person to care about. You bring yourself out into the world and irl people are going to see what we see too. You need a real community, friend. I know it’s hard especially without a car. I hope you’ll take some advice from this autistic weirdo who lives in the woods in a place where people are very different from her…I’ve had a lot of success building a community by joining/forming local mutual aid groups. Maybe for you it’s not mutual aid, but seek people out with common interests that are NOT related to work. It’s hard when you don’t have much time to spare but I promise you, living feeds creativity. Creativity doesn’t feed itself. I think when you solve the community issue the rest is going to sort itself out. And that community will be so happy to have you too because you are a helper and you have a lot to offer. I don’t want you to feel like I’m lecturing you even though I kind of am (lol sorry) but I think you need a little tough love right now and this is exactly what I would say to my closest friends. You have the tools to get yourself out of this. You are resilient. By all means, have your pity party because that’s important too. But keep putting yourself out there in real life until you find your people and can feel self worth and friendship that are not linked to your income. Sending big hugs. Really hope to catch you streaming soon.
