Meet the Amaranth Dragon!

Amaranth Dragons can grow to be up to six feet in length, not including their tails, which can grow to be as long as their bodies. They live for around 80 years, with the oldest recorded amaranth dragon living to the age of 83. Their flowers bloom most commonly in red, but shades of lighter pink and reddish purples are also possible.

The dragon has strong, sharp, root-like claws which it uses to climb trees. It also has excellent vision, even at night.

Where there are trees, there are amaranth dragons. They can be found most commonly in jungles, but a few have been known to reside in forests as well. Environments with rich, well-draining soil and plenty of sunlight are ideal for the amaranth dragon. If they don’t get enough sunlight, their leaves and flowers will dry and potentially die before they are due to shed.
