Meet Putrescere! 🥀

Long ago, in a time that has all but been forgotten, Putrescere was a druid of great renown, lauded for their ability to travel between the planes and facilitate gentle decay in a cycle of rebirth. However, an unknown plague washed across the valley that Putrescere called home, rotting people, creatures, and plants faster than the druid could keep up.

Aiming to understand it and thus find a way to stop the plague at its source, Putrescere searched across the planes to find its origin. They discovered a hungry entity lurking in the space between the planes. It extended its tendrils into the multiverse to spread its unnatural rot.

The voices of this void thing cooed into Putrescere’s ears, explaining in ghastly detail how it would eat the druid away before returning its attention to their world with renewed vigor. Overwhelmed by a fear of death at the mercy of this terrible rot and what might come with it, Putrescere fell prey to the whispers of the void.

Today, the being that carries the name Putrsecere is a blend of the druid and the void. It is a creature of rot and decay, their old magic turned against them and to darker purposes—feeding the void within.

Will Putrescere rot away your will to live, or will you stomp on its decay once and for all? 🤢
