Lego Monkie Kid
Okay, so a teaser trailer for Season 5 dropped today and some people are up in arms about the new animation. They’re using a new studio and, yeah, it’s not as sharp as Seasons 3 and 4, but personally I don’t think it looks bad. It’s still got the same writers, VAs and music, so I’m gonna keep an open mind.
Oh damn. For real? That’s kind of a bummer. I won’t look at it until I catch up.

Hey LMK peeps. Should I wait for an English S5 trailer or watch the leaked one? I’m leaning toward waiting.
First episode of Season 5 premiered in China today. Just watched it on YouTube with fansubs. My thoughts. Yes, the animation is noticeably different than Seasons 1-4 because of the new studio. But, it’s gonna have the same English VAs we all know and love, the same writers, the same music, the same style of comedy and if episode 1 is anything to go by, the same emotional impact. So, I’m optimistic about the future of this frachise.

Okay, so apparently all 10 episodes of Season 5 dropped at once in China. All of which have been put on YouTube, but only the first few have fansubs. So, I’m not really sure when we’ll get the English versions.
That’s interesting. I wonder why they did a drop rather than weekly.
Just binged Season 5 in English. Apparently they became available yesterday.
I won’t spoil anything, but I will say that the main villain is voiced by Mathew Mercer, aka the English VA for Yamato (Naruto), Trafalgar Law (One Piece) and Leorio (Hunter x Hunter).

Unconfirmed rumors have been circulating that we might have to wait until 2026 for Season 6. Something about the animation being behind schedule.
That’s unfortunate. I dislike when shows take too long. It makes it harder to remember things for me.
Well, don’t despair just yet, right now its just a rumor. We’ll probably know for sure when the Summer 2025 sets are released.
