Katara and sokka’s dad was the one that saw appa during his episode. Then the guy with his burned arm was the guy we met during season 1

Gotcha. I remember Bato and that he was in Book 1 but I dont recall seeing their father's appearance in book 1 which is why it threw me off.

No we didn’t see the father during book one. I mean during the appa alone episode. You questioned that guy on the water nation ship that saw appa. That was katara and sokka’s dad

Ah, got it. So he wasn’t in Book 1. That explains why I didn’t recognize him. Honestly, kind of odd that this is the first time we see what he looks like. I guess it’s foreshadowing for Sokka to meet back up with him soon, but it’s like… am I just supposed to instantly know that’s him? 🤣

Also metal bending is 100% a sub bending of earth. While made of earth metal is fundamentally different from regular earth or sand. Toph is the first person in history to bend metal. She really created a new bending style at the age of 12. What a prodigy

Technically it’s both. It’s like what lightning is for firebending. Incredibly advanced and not something most people can do.

Aang didn't see Azula's lightning coming, because she was behind him. He also more than likely would have died if Katara didn't have that special healing water and the avatar cycle would have been broken.

Azula, the first character I’ve seen to not let the enemy finish charging up lol Your reaction to Zuko’s betrayal didn’t disappoint! Every time you brought up his good side and how he was changing I kept thinking “the season 2 finale is really going to hit him…”

Yeah, Azula wasn’t about to give him that anime-style ‘finish your move’ moment lol. And yeah, that finale definitely hit hard. I really thought Zuko was going to keep going down the same path, but this should lead to even more development. I doubt things will be fine with his father. Book 3 should be hype! Can't wait.

Actually its confirmed that Aang actually did die to that lightning but Katara brought him back to life with the spirit water.
