It’s time for the penultimate episode and the Season 1 finale! I did NOT expect what happened to Van Kleiss, but honestly, it makes total sense for his character. 🔥 Now I’m hyped to see what new builds Rex will bring to the table in Season 2!

I'll say. Although, part of me wishes Van Kleiss had kept his old powers. It was an interesting twist for the hero to be technology based and the villain nature based.

Agreed. It would have been cooler..would have been more of a threat. I do think this fits him more with him beinf pro Evo. Can't wait for s2!

I don't believe its a spoiler to say that EVO was mecha rex, its such an interesting design and not sure if you noticed or not but young Rex's builds were mangled and twisted unlike the refined and solid design in the current time

After this finale im reminded how similar van kleisss and higgs from death stranding "who is also voiced by Troy baker" are, they both have a similar thematic theme

Seing what rex becomes when he has his lash outs and knowing he allways repea5s it is interesting his destiny to become that monster again and start the cycle over

Yep. Figured as much. Its heavily implied it was Rex. You could see his Builds in that monstrosity.

🤔in my opinion I think this is his first time in that form mainly due to the fact that his old crew had never seen his builds before and they had seen him memory wipe at least one time during their time together
