OUTRAGEOUS! I loved these episodes just as much as Episodes 1 and 2. It’s been a blast seeing both familiar and unfamiliar faces through that Silver Age lens.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

This is inarguably my favorite version of Aquaman. He's boisterous and narcissistic but also has a heart of gold. Fun Fact: Sportsmaster is voiced by Thomas F. Wilson, who you may know best as Biff Tannon from the Back to the Future movies. Fun Haus is an original character made for this show, he was made to be a stand-in for Toyman. See, at the time the first season was being produced, DC / Warner Bros had this mandate that said the Big 3 (Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman) couldn't appear in animated series unless they were main characters. This applied to their villains too. Fortunately, this rule has since been repealed.

Adding onto this with more fun facts: Agreed, campy and stoic yet boisterous silver age Aquaman is peak and a highlight of this series. Felix Faust is an ancient and powerful sorcerer who is indeed named after the real world figure from German folklore. He seek ultimate knowledge and power in all things magic and usually does so through pacts with magical or demonic entities. He’s a villain of the general Justice League, but also the Justice League Dark and many magical heroes. Sportsmaster (Lawrence “Crusher” Crock) was a former star athlete who was banned for cheating and since using his athletic skills to become a gimmick villain. He’s an enemy of Green Lantern a Wildcat, husband of Tigress, and father of both Artemis and Cheshire. Red Tornado is an android who was originally created by the evil scientist T.O. Morrow to infiltrate and destroy the Justice League. In his core he is actually powered by the “Tornado Champion”, an elemental being from the planet Rann, which is what gives him his powers. Eventually, Red Tornado gained human emotions and betrayed his creator, taking the alias John Ulthoon (sometimes just John Smith) and becoming a hero. And yes, thankfully the rule against allowing Superman or Wonder Woman to appear was lifted after season one.

Technically, Cheshire was only Sportsmaster's daughter in Young Justice, in the comics Artemis is an only child.

For the life of me, I can't remember what I've watched that had Sportsmaster in it. Yeah, this Aquaman is a vibe. I need more of him ASAP.

Given that you know both Sportsmaster and Red Tornado, I think you’ve seen some Young Justice. Would be a great show to react to if you don’t remember it very well.

Thats always possible. I might have caught an episode here and there in the background. I know I've seen episodes of Justice League but it was only a few, and it was so long ago.
