Batman, Blue Beetle, and The Huntress all on one team? That’s a lineup I can absolutely get behind.

I don’t know much about Huntress, but she already feels like a character that can steal scenes real quick. Confident and playful! Yeah… I’m interested.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

Huntress is a very fun character and I love seeing her in action. She was also one of the best parts of JLU, as you likely did see. Her lore is a little complex since there’s actually two different versions of her character (one actually being Batman’s daughter), but I highly suggest you check her out. All these weird, goofy villains in Baby Face’s gang and at the prison are real and very silly, I love it. 😂 Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are usually and fittingly henchmen of the Mad Hatter. I saw False Face and Great White Shark, and I think the purple mob boss with the flower was Larry the Lilac. “THE HAMMER OF JUSTICE IS UNISEX!” 🗣️🔊🔥 I’ve been waiting all season for the scene, one of the funniest lines in the whole show. 🤣

With the exception of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, Babyface and his crew are all original characters made for this show, but they fit in well with the Silver Age vibe this series was going for. In the comics, Helena Bertinelli was originally the daughter of a powerful crime lord, but became an anti-hero after her parents were murdered by a rival family. I believe the shark-like character from the prison riot is supposed to be Warren White aka Great White Shark. He's mostly known for being one of the main characters in the comic mini-series Arkham Asylum Living Hell.

Anriku

Is that the same as Killer Shark or someone else?

Anriku

That unisex quote was hilarious! 🤣 I probably saw some episodes of JLU, Young Justice etc over the years. Definitely need to react to it.

King Shark, Killer Croc, and Great White Shark are all separate characters.

JD Dumas

No, different character. King Shark is a Polynessian demi-god. Warren White was an ordinary criminal who tried to cheat the legal system by faking insanity, but by the end of Living Hell, his experiences in Arkham turned him into a real supervillain, Great White Shark.

Anriku

Interesting. I knew Shark and Croc were different, but never heard of Great White.

I just remembered in one comic we get a scene of what Blue Beetle’s dream future self and the career he wanted was to be a dentist that makes plenty of money to help support his family, not something criminal justice related like he said in this episode. Also his family in the comics his family knew his identity since he showed them the suit soon after he got it.

He’s a pretty new character, created in the 2000s. An altercation with Mr Freeze in the asylum left his face scarred and deformed, so he just leaned into the shark look.
