It’s time to focus on Jonah Hex after his short appearance in an earlier episode. I’m also just realizing they’ve done this more than once — debuting a character in the intro, then giving them a proper spotlight later on. I actually really like that aspect of this show. It makes the world feel connected and intentional.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

Most people don't know this, but there are actually two Mongul's in the DC Universe. The original Mongul was an alien warlord who was kicked off his own planet by his people and vowed to conquer every other planet in the universe before reclaiming his home. He was primarily a Superman villain. The version shown here is his son, Mongul II, who usually fights Green Lantern. Darkseid, Steppenwolf, Lashina and Stompa are part of an alien race known as the Gods of Apokalips, the even counterparts of the Gods of New Genesis. Both of which are collectively known as the New Gods. In short, Darkseid is completely unrelated to Mongul. Although, why exactly these New Gods are working for Mongul and his sister is a mystery that never gets explained. Maybe Darkseid sold some of his minions to finance his quest to enslave the universe?

I see. Interesting history for a conqueror. I could see Darkseid doing that from what I know of him. XD

Well, here's something you might not know. Darkseid's ultimate goal is to solve the Anti-Life Equation, a legendary mathematical formula that will give him the power to erase freewill from the universe, making all living things an extension of his will.

Thats wild. I didn't know that but I think I involves the monitor and anti monitor or something? I've only wiki surfed some of this in my younger days.

These reactions don’t disappoint! I saw this series years ago and it still hits well. I especially love Joker in this show for being a great combination of insane and evil.

Gave this one a rewatch and I’ll just add that no, Mongul (Mongul II) and Mongal are not related to Darkseid, simply aliens who rule Warworld. Darkseid is a New God and so is Steppenwolf as well, who is actually Darkseid’s uncle. Battleworld is from Marvel, but it’s not a consistent artificial planet like Warworld, it’s an amalgamation of multiple different realities colliding together as the multiverse collapses, seen in Secret Wars.
