I’m really enjoying Agito so far. I love the more grounded tone of the series, and the slower pacing has actually been a really nice change of pace compared to some of the other Kamen Rider series I’ve watched recently. It gives the characters, mystery, and atmosphere more room to breathe, and I’m really digging that vibe right now.

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how the plot develops from here because it already feels like there’s a lot going on beneath the surface. Excited to keep this journey going with all of you!

Oh lord, so I saw the niece as a main supporting character in another Kamen Rider series. She's the food and drink train attendant Naomi in Den-O (Den O's home base is a moving train). I don't know why, but she supposedly has the official title of having the "best ass in Japan" (I don't know why this is a thing, but Japan and Wikipedia says it's a thing). Her stagename is "Oshi Rina" which translates to "Ass Rina". I don't know why this is a thing, only in Japan I guess? I cracked when my friend told me that during a Den O watch party I held. She was definitely the fan service character in Den O (which was 6 years after this)

Unidentified Lifeform 01 that they said looks like Agito is what the police call Kuuga, as you suspected. This is, I believe, the last reference to Kuuga. If it ever comes up again, I don't remember it.

I do actually like this series and pacing so far. While it's slower than post Den O series, it's a lot faster than Kuuga (as Kuuga had a large slow burn). I also am liking how the series is starting off different than Kuuga did. Kuuga started off with your usual, "good guy beats up the bad guy of the week" formula for a stretch while you get introduced to the powers, weapons, and forms. Here, I like that there's a large mystery aspect to it. Makes ya want to see more things get uncovered.

One of the things I love about Hikawa as G3 is he doesn't have any actual powers, and while he has a fancy high-tech battlesuit, it was designed to fight Unidentified Lifeforms and is thus totally outmatched against Unknowns, but he fights them anyway out of sheer grit, determination, and skill. And while he might not have won either fight in these two episodes, in both cases the monsters would have gotten away if he didn't delay them long enough for Agito to arrive, and in the case of this episode, also keep the second monster occupied longer enough for Agito to kill the other one. Without him Agito would not have won. He's the Batman of the series. Someone who is technically outclassed, but manages to succeed anyway out of pure skill and determination.
