Batmen through history and the return of the first major overarching villain?! Yes please! Seeing all the different eras of Batman was such a fun concept, and the extra super hero lore with The Atom in Episode 7 was really cool too.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

No it was Ryan that went with Aquaman in Batman’s body. You never saw Ray till now. EDIT, I see you figured it own on your own

The Creeper is really big time reporter and news personality, Jack Ryder (Aquaman referenced an interview with him in the vampire episode). His origin in the comics is pretty convoluted and has been altered and simplified with time, but what you need to know if that Ryder was forced into the exact same kind of chemical accident that the Joker was birthed from, same chemicals and all, resulting in the same green hair, discolored skin, and manic, psychotic personality. He is, however, an anti-hero based out of Gotham City. I say anti-hero because his personality makes him extremely unpredictable and often ignorant to all around him in his pursuits for what he believes is good. This is why the police do not tolerate him. “So Golster Bood!” - React Zone 2026

"Time Out for Vengeance" is loosely based on the Grant Morrison miniseries, The Return of Bruce Wayne. In which Batman was sent back in time by Darkseid and kept randomly bouncing from time period to time period until he finally made it home. Each issue featured Bruce adapting his Batman persona to suit each era he landed in. In addition to being a caveman hero and a pirate hero, Bruce also became a detective in Puritan Salem, rescuing women falsely accused of witchcraft, and an old west vigilante. Aquaman's cold open in "Sword of the Atom" is a parody of the short-lived sitcom "The Pruitts of Southhampton", starring comedy legend Phyllis Diller. Canceled after one season, so it's a super obscure reference. But as previously stated, the creative team knew there was zero chance of getting renewed, so they just did whatever the hell they wanted, within reason.

I had a major brain fart in that moment. 🤣

Damn. Darkseid did that to him? Lol. Messing with Bats hard! Love that for the team. This season has been a blast so far. They're having a ton of fun.

JD Dumas

Darkseid is essentially the God of Dick-Moves. IKR. The same thing happened with the last season of Freakzoid.

Anriku

I can't wait to see more of him, man. Always known him as a threat, but don't know a ton about him. Freakazoid is one I want to react to at some point. ;)

JD Dumas

Just wait until you get to Superman the Animated Series. Michael Ironside absolutely kills it as Darkseid. Just for reference, Ironside also voiced Ultra Magnus on Transformers Prime. When it comes to Freakazoid, there are three levels of humor. Level 1: The jokes that are timeless. Level 2: The jokes that date the show. Level 3: The jokes that date the writers.

The Creeper is so unhinged that even Joker can't stand him.

Legends of Tomorrow is actually a pretty great show. It started with Rip Hunter recruiting the heroes and villains the CW had introduced in other shows. Season 1 is alright but Seasons 2-4 are fantastic and the remaining seasons after are pretty great as well. I know the CW has a bad reputation for shows but Legends of Tomorrow is a consistent exception.
