Man.. We are getting closer and closer to closing out this series. I'm curious what they will do with the last 4 episodes. I definitely enjoyed Episode 8 a lot more than Episode 9, but both were fun episodes. I mean, getting the Trinity in one episode... how could I not enjoy that?

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

The opening baseball sequence was an homage to ‘DC Superstars Giants #10’ (1976). Frank Miller did indeed write ‘The Dark Knight Returns’. He is also famous for writing ‘Dardevil: Born Again’, ‘Batman: Year One’, ‘Sin City’, etc. Julius Schwartz was a longtime editor for DC from 1944 to 1986. At many points he was the flagship editor the company, particularly when it came to Batman and Superman. “The city’s lead sewer pipes…” The people of Metropolis need medical checkups IMMEDIATELY. 😭 The music during Wonder Woman and Cheetah’s initial fight was inspired by Linda Carter’s WW series. Wonder Woman is biologically an Amazon, but traditionally her father is Zeus (her mother being Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons). There are also a number of origins where her mother instead crafter her from clay and then brought her to life (DCAU, for example), and sometimes it’s both. Either way, she’s an Amazon with the blessing of Zeus. Three people have held the title of Cheetah: Priscilla Rich, her niece Deborah Domaine, and then unrelated Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva. All three have alternatively been arch enemies of Wonder Woman throughout the Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages. This Cheetah is Priscilla Rich. Her origin is pretty boring, she was just a socialite who grew jealous of Diana’s fame and created her costume from her cheetah rug and obtained an amulet from the plant god who she name dropped to try and give WW a run for her money. Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva though, the most prominent holder of the title of Cheetah and the one you will likely see in the future) was an archaeologist who came to become overly obsessed with mythology and divinity. During an expedition into the Congo, her party was captured by a local tribe and forced to participate in a ritual for their goddess of the hunt. She cut herself with a special dagger and the goddess marked Minerva, transforming her into a human-cheetah hybrid, giving her superhuman abilities, dangerously sharp claws, and an insatiable bloodlust. Bruce coming in on the wheelchair was so funny to me. 😂 I’m a massive Hanna-Barbara connoisseur, so seeing Space Ghost and the Galaxy Trio team up with Batman was truly amazing. He was the flagship of their own superhero cabal, airing in 1966, and I fondly remember watching episodes on the Boomerang network.

Wonder Woman's original origin is that she was a clay sculpture made by Queen Hippolyta and brought to life by the goddess Hera. The modern retelling is that she's a demigod. A child of Hippolyta and Zeus.

Ah, I got the two origins mixed up regarding which came first. Even still, the clay origin has also had Zeus and Hades be the “father” besides Hera.

Wheelchair bruce needs to be his own show. XD Cool how it transformed into his suit. Old man has still got it!

Anriku

That's right. I vaguely remember those origins. She's got a one up on human Batman. XD
