Another great pair of episodes! It was awesome seeing Yoda put in some work while also passing along some wisdom to the clones. And that move he pulled on Ventress? That was so damn slick!

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

- RIP to that naval fleet above Ryloth, died mid-call. - Twylek freedom fighter Cham Syndulla is a very important figure on Ryloth and in the greater lore. He will appear later on both in the show and in other series. - Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di (“I’m gonna die” 😭) was a Kajain'sa'Nikto, a desert-dwelling subspecies of Nikto from the planet Kintan, in Hutt Space. We actually saw another Nikto in the film, delivering Jabba the message about the deceased bounty hunters. - Captain Keeli went out a true hero, alongside Master Di. He was a truly valiant soldier. I always liked the brown paint marking of Keeli and his Outer Rim garrison. The horns painted on his helmet were inspired by the Kybuck, an animal native to Kashyyk. - Watto was indeed a Toydarian, and not too far off from home, given that both Toydaria and Tatooine are in relatively close proximity within Hutt Space (funnily enough, Watto actually goes against the Toydarian beliefs of generosity and lending a helping hand). - This is also the first time we see a neutral world, totally outside the conflict. Toydaria, as King Katuunko said, was NOT a part of the Republic or the CIS and sits in deep Hutt Space, so they have no stakes in the war. Allowing the Republic to stage there was a major step for Toydaria. - The representatives of the Trade Federation are Neimoidians from Neimoidia. Neimoidia is openly against the Republic and part of the CIS, having a seat in their senate instead. HOWEVER, the Trade Federation DOES have a seat in the Republic senate due to their massive power and monopoly. On paper, the Trade Federation is a neutral business conglomerate, and so are allowed a seat (their blockade of Naboo years ago in TPM was technically legal). Lott Dodd is the TF senator for the Republic and so is very technically an “ally”, but only on paper. Nute Gunray is still technically the Viceroy of the TF, but is in hiding still. - The fact alone that corporations/conglomerates got representation in government is a very clear sign of just how corrupt the Republic’s government had become in its waning years. - Yoda is so cool, both in his wisdom and as a fighter. His compassion for the clones is also very strong here. He basically told Ventress to get good. 😭 - In short, Ryloth got the supplies and Cham Syndulla is still leading the people’s resistance, but Ryloth has now completely fallen in CIS hands. While the diplomatic mission was a win, this was an overall major loss for the Republic.

So Watto is a nonconformist.

At best he's a tertiary character, but I really liked King Katuunko. He's a cool guy. Also, as much as I'm enjoying these Clone Wars reactions, I hope you can get back to Btas soon.

Anriku

Agreed. He's a cool dude. Already recorded. Just need to edit it up tomorrow. Keep an eye out. ;) very fun episode.
