It's time for the second half of the Domino Squad arc and it did NOT disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and can't wait to see where Fives and Echo go next now that they are officially Arc Troopers of the elite 501st Legion.

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

The Stormtroopers in the OG Trilogy aren't clones. They're ordinary human citizens of the Empire who bought into the propaganda and joined the army. After Order 66, many clones turned against the Empire for making them kill their former allies. Most were killed off, but some survived, including Rex and ending up joining the Rebel Alliance years later. As I recall, one of Palpatine's first orders as Emperor was the genocide of Kamino, to make sure no one else could raise an army against him. Also cloning is super expensive and I guess he didn't want to spend the money. Speaking of money, that's also why the Separatists don't mass produce the Commando Droids. They are inarguably better than regular Battle Droids, but doing so would bankrupt them.

This is actually somewhat untrue. When the Republic transitioned into the Empire, the Emperor/Darth Sidious kept the clone army in operation and converted them into the new Stormtrooper Corps (it should be noted that the Stormtrooper Corps was a smaller branch of the Imperial Army, being something akin to the Marine Corps in the US military). The Empire would continue to use both older veteran clones as Stormtroopers as well as cloning new troopers. Many clone officers from the Clone Wars were actually promoted in their Imperial careers, Commander Cody being a prime example. Regular human conscripts and volunteers slowly began to be allowed to join the Stormtrooper Corps and would serve alongside clones. After some amount of years, though, for numerous reasons between financial and logistical, as well as DNA being too far stretched, the Empire finally cut their cloning production for good. Remaining clones were allowed to fizzle out and eventually retire or die. After this, the Stormtrooper Corps became a purely conscript + volunteer branch made up of unique individuals. Now, were nearly any people better in combat than clones? No. However, Stormtroopers were the most elite large branch in the Imperial Army and were extremely well trained, being very brutal in their campaigns. The reason they are portrayed as incompetent is because, from our POV, they’re often doing battle against Jedi or other supernaturally gifted opponents, and so their “weakness” has to be exaggerated.

Well, I guess I stand corrected. But nobody can be right about everything.

- RIP Droid Bait (died on the landing pad, didn’t even get so much as a reaction from the others), Cutup (getting eaten alive by a Rishi moon eel is a horrific way to go), and Hevy (he went out like a true hero, even if the Separatists now have a direct path to Kamino). - The commando droids are SUPER high tech and elite combatants, extremely deadly and efficient. They’re extremely expensive to produce, though, so they’re a specially reserved unit for the most important missions. - I love how Rex and Cody smell the bullshit happening IMMEDIATELY and waste no time getting to work LMAO. - Echo’s chest plate having the hand marking on it after Rex touched him with the blue eel blood is a very distinctive touch and will make for an easy way to identify him in the future.

Ill try to keep an eye out for him but I'll be honest.. the clones are hard to keep track of.
