I actually like that Kurimatsu(chipmunk boy) was picked as he kind of represents all of the ''minor'' chracters from the original raimon team in season 1 and even though most of them fell off he was still able to get picked.

So now you start seeing stuff like G2, V2 and Remastered to show a shot has evolved those stuff were already in the games but season 3 decided to formally introduce them to the anime so the scaling goes as following: G1 to G5 - Grades which are mostly used for goalkeeper moves as you see with both Mugen and Fist of Justice. V1 to V3 - Versions as you saw with Wyvern Crash Kai(Remastered) and Shin(True) - God Hand and Fire Tornado the scaling here goes Kai and then Shin is stronger than Kai.

As for titles there is really only one title that you should 100% avoid when you get to it and that's for episode 95. Everything else should be fine.

Yeah Tachimukai was always gonna be chosen because on a football team you always gotta have 2 goalies in case one gets injured. Also you're allowed 16 players per team for substitutes
