A Gouenji-focused episode, and honestly, I feel like we needed more of these! I can understand where his dad is coming from, but there’s no reason for him to start studying so early and force Gouenji to give up something he loves. I’m also curious to see what Gouenji does with the information about Hibiki, if anything. 👀

Drop your thoughts below and enjoy the ride!

The thing about the Goenju stuff that bothers me is that he is the TOP SCORER of the national team, like he has a future. And like you said he can study while playing or sth But i guess its just the trauma talking. And now BEST MATCH

And add in another adult in the series that kinda sucks. But atleast with Gouenji's dad case he has a relatively good reason with how his wife died and then his daugther was in a coma for a whole year so he blamed soccer for it. But on his point on soccer can't save a life did he forget that they literally saved the entire country last season from the aliea meteorite?

Man Gouenji literally can't catch a break at any point in this series Season 1 - Has his sister in a coma which caused him to quite soccer before the beginnig of the series with only Endou bringing him back Season 2 - Just when his sister was getting better he got threatened by ''aliens'' to join them and had to leave his team to protect his sister. Season 3 - Just when his sister is now fully fine and seems nothing is wrong his father wants him to quite soccer to study being a doctor.

I like the scene between Toramaru and Gouenji because it shows Toramaru's development before this he would have never called out Gouenji because he was hiding his true self, but now that he has let loose he takes initiative and calls him out but then immediately asks him what's wrong attefterwards.

Anriku

Exactly. Give the kid a break already. 😭

Anriku

Exactly. It can inspire and save people in other ways.

Anriku

Poor Gouenji! They need to keep messing with him due to being the best striker. 😭

Anriku

Its subtle but also so nice!
