This was an interesting one. I wonder why Manato thinks he isn't someone would call friend in his previous life. I wonder if the mind wipe is faulty since we see them pull from their memories sometimes, but maybe he feels this way due to those memories seeming to just be buried rather than wiped? I am also feeling some death flags. :(
