Watercolor Jar of Peaches.
This one was such a fun study—and a great reminder that glass doesn’t have to be complicated. In this full-length tutorial, we’re painting this glowing jar of peaches step-by-step in real time.
I walk you through my full process, including how I simplify the shapes, build up those rich layers, and create that soft glow inside the jar without overworking it. We’ll focus on: breaking down the jar into simple shapes, painting loose, juicy peaches with clean color layering to create depth and transparency, adding those darker values that really make the glass feel real, keeping things soft and painterly (not stiff or overworked)
I also share my thought process as I go—what I’m looking for, when I stop, and how I fix things if they start to go a little sideways (because that always happens 😊).
If you’ve struggled with painting glass or keeping your colors fresh, this one will really help it click.
Grab your brushes, a few warm and cool colors, and come paint along with me.
