Displaced Hero Chapters 83-87 (Patreon)

First! For those of you who only check in on this story! Be aware that the final Relationship Poll for Displaced Hero is still up...but won't be for much longer. It will close on the 25th at the latest. I might well close it before then if votes stop trickling in, as it's already been up for most of the month. This is also up a day early as a have dentist appointment tomorrow that will probably have me in an unpleasant headspace, so better to get this out now.

Now, with those bits out of the way, time for a nice hefty release of Displaced Hero! I've been a little annoyed that a few stories have come up a bit shy of the 15k mark recently, so I pushed a bit to make this one a bit larger than normal. With the result that it's darn close to 16,500 words instead of 15k! It also covers a pretty wide range of content, including getting some bits and pieces of relationship building in, and introducing a character or two that will be important down the line.

The image, which isn't mind and I sadly don't have a source for, is relevant to an outfit Padme ends up wearing in one of the chapters. Other reference images for outfits that Sabé, and Eiraté where in the same chapter are Here and Here respectively. Though, note, the references aren't perfect and are exclusively for the general type of outfit. Not their actual appearances. I included the image I did in the post because, frankly, it honestly looks like it could actually be Padme. If anyone has any idea who that artist is, let me know so I can credit them, as it's a fantastic piece in my opinion.

Spoiler: The closest images I could find for what I imagined the Jedi girls wearing at a point that should be obvious are: This One and This Very NSFW One. Neither are quite right, and I'm considering taking a stab at drawing it myself since it seems fun...if I ever have the time to draw again T-T.

Chapter 83: A/N 1: I couldn't help myself with the Bunny Girl armor, even if I've probably taken the joke to far at this point. Asajj is probably the only one that will be keeping a version of hers, unless people really get a kick out of them :-p. A/N 2: I'm honestly a little shocked no one has said anything about Geonsis up to this point. But, then, if you haven't taken a peak at the galaxy map you wouldn't realize just how close they are together. There's a REASON that Padme and Anakin beat the Order there so easily, the planets are the next best thing to neighbors.

Chapter 84: A/N 1: This chapter exists largely out of the need to start more firmly building up the framework for the multi-ship pairing. None of the additions, save perhaps the Sith Girl if she wins the final poll, are going to be super-quick additions. Instead, they'll be built up to with interactions like this over the course of months or years of interactions. Something I think is more realistic and which I did even with Mei, who Izuku had a previous connection to. We see in Ch 84 that at least the physical attraction, as well as a certain degree of casual closeness, is developing between the various individuals.

Chapter 85: A/N 1: War is paperwork, and so is leadership. This chapter was needed to highlight a few things, and hint at a few more. I did try to lighten it up with Mei sneaking in a bit of her own brand of chaos, though...

Chapter 86: A/N 1: As I've mentioned previously, the Crusade isn't all one sided. The Hutts have already hit on one of the most effective ways they can fight the League. Just...keep throwing an endless supply of bodies at them to whittle away at their assets. Attrition favors the Hutts, much as it will/would favor the Republic in the Clone Wars. Something that more than one War College is going to make note of while watching all of this... A/N 2: Sasha's viewpoint might seem random. It isn't. For now, I'll just say it highlights (along with Palaptine's reflections in 87) another aspect of war. There is more to it, but anything else would be spoilers...

Chapter 87: A/N 1: A chapter focused on showing bits and pieces of what is going on outside Hutt Space and the Crusade. While I don't want to drag the focus away too much, it's still needed to see how the ripples of Izuku and Co's actions are effecting the greater schemes of many. The Jedi are going far more active, some of Palpatines tools are being shifted or eliminated, we get a little peek inside Anakin's head. Etc. We even get a minor villain setup with Pre Vizsla, who is going to make a nuisance of himself for SOMEONE. It's just a matter of for who...

best i can tell with a reverse image search, is sadly, that the image is AI. it does remind me of some art i've seen for Deja Thoris though, if you wanted to have a name you could use to look up similar art.

Some great chapters in here. Love me some sexy fantasy in my space opera. I completely forgot you completely offed Bo Katan! XD My man Palpatine has zero chill when it comes to Padme! I get the Sith are evil, but name calling! How low can he go! Is it a faux pas to recommend other people‘s works in the comments? I’ve never gotten a confirmed answer on that. And I wanted to recommend this epic Harry Potter x Star Wars crossover that I think people who read this would enjoy.

No idea about in general, but I'm fine with it here, at least. Heck, I read a lot of other stories to get into the writing vibe for this fic, so I might read recommendations myself, if they aren't something I've already read. I've seen a few decent HP/Star Wars fics, but most of them are sadly dead. With the exception of Magic of the Force I'm not sure I know of any still ongoing.

The story is called “The Dimitran Fleet” by inwardtransience So the story is going to be broken up into 4 parts. They’ve already finished part one (called “First Contact”), and part two (called “Dimitran Dawn”) is trickling out in between their other works. I don’t wanna spoil too much, but basically the story takes place the day that the Yuuzhan Vong invade earth. This author likes to ramble on about the strangest things sometimes but I really enjoy that because of how fleshed out the setting becomes. It’s also heavenly AU on the Harry Potter side. So AU you might be like, “why the fuck is this character a girl?” And there will be no explanation unless you’ve read their other stories. I recommend her other stories too, but they’re a slog to get through. They just write in the cutest ways and I just had to share it with others!

The sequels?!? they made sequels?!? Next you’re going to tell me somehow palatine has returned! That would be crazy! And even if they did do that they would probably have a really compelling reason for him being back from the dead that ties in with all the legends content where he does that very revival. There’s nnnnoooo way Disney would just hand wave that away. They’re a competent company that can make three moves that actually make sense together.

Haha. I wish I could forget those existed that easily. They actually succeeded in killing my lifelong passion for Star Wars for a couple of years. It was only reading a few crossover fanfics that saved it for me and eventually got me back on the Star Wars bandwagon...
