Well, since I didn't stop in to post on Christmas itself...Happy Holidays in general, folks! I hope you had a good time, didn't have too many fist fights over politics with your families, and got at least one good pair of warm socks for Christmas. Or, you know, whatever your personal preference was, if not warm socks. ;-)

Back to the topic at hand, though...we have Poll Results to get too! You might be able to guess which story won by the AI image I threw up for the Holiday Theme :-p, but let's take a look anyway!

-----------------

Why Was There No Truck?!: 162.75 + 30% Boost = 211.575

Harry Potter: Pandora's Box: 105.25 + 20% Boost = 131.5625

Stripper With a System: 97.25 + 20% Boost = 112.3

My Hero Automata: 80

A Very Confused Pokémon Adventure: 48.25

-----------------

O.O

Holy cookies, not-batman! I think this may actually be the first ever time a story has broken 200 votes in the poll! Somehow, I keep underestimating just how popular Why Was There No Truck?! is. Probably because it was originally an extra with a much more nebulous concept than my other works, not to mention having a near-SI, which I have a bit of a mental hiccup expecting to be popular. Well, those bits and the fact it actually doesn't have any real lemon content yet, and I know you guys often vote with For the Horny as a warcry ;-). Still, obviously no question about it, Why Was There No Truck?! takes an utterly unambiguous win this time, and will be updated in January!

As for the rest of the results. I'm pleased with how well Stripper With a System did, given it's currently the newest and shortest of my stories. Harry Potter: Pandora's Box also put up a solid fight, and both of them will have the same boost next month, so they each have a solid chance at a win. I was pleased to see My Hero Automata also did decently, considering it had no boost. Since it will have a Boost next month, there's at least a chance of win there, which would push that story fairly close to the finish line.

A Very Confused Pokémon Adventure, on the other hand, got it's weakest result ever. Which is a little disappointing? Hopefully, that is just because it was recently updated, not because people didn't like the update? I'd honestly have thought the near cliff-hanger it was left on and how vocal people are in the currently ongoing polls for Zoey's Next Pokemon and 2B's Next Pokemon would have meant a stronger result for it...

Well, one way or another, we have our winner this time! Not to mention signs of some strong contenders for next month's poll!

I'm happy with any of your stories so it's always a very hard choice on what to vote for😅...still very confused by that poor showing though. Maybe be ppl were just really hyped for Alyssa and our sexy stripper?

SpiritFoxAlf

I would have put my extra votes on "A Very Confusing Pokemon Adventure" if I could have

Phillip Erickson

I think it's mostly that people don't vote for the one without the boost as much as they don't think it can win. They mostly try to influence which one of the more likely winners crosses the finish line

Orchamus

That's a fair idea, likely true too

Nickolas

For me at least, "Pokémon Adventure" was a victim of strategic voting. That is to say it had the smallest boost (none) on my personal favorites so I used my votes on one I thought more likely to win.

Dominique Brassel

Well as we don't jet have a poll result for the next Pokemon question it could be that people wanted to wait for those results

Mr Fox

For myself, Im actually very happy with the current "rotation" we have going. So you don't need to feel bad about confused adventure

Novus's Fanfiction Works

I'm not quite sure, honestly. Halfway Broken proved for most of a year that the boosts weren't needed to win, and Confused Adventure came close a couple of times even without boosts. I suppose people could be waiting on the polls, but I wasn't intending to close those until I actually need to. I'm a little afraid that people might think they've spotted a pattern with events and rampaging pokemon and already gotten bored with it...even if that's not actually quite what's planned for Mt. Moon :-p.

Novus's Fanfiction Works

You did, sort of :-p. You gave me a headache when I was adding things up, since you split your vote four ways, so I had to add 1.25 votes to every story you voted for :-p.

Novus's Fanfiction Works

Most likely the answer, admittedly. It's just a little weird to see it drop so hard, since even in months with no boost it's been one of the most consistently supported.

Orchamus

Yeah, but it's One Piece...enough said yeah?😅 Also you can never have enough 2B

Novus's Fanfiction Works

Hopefully not! I generally don't close polls until I actually NEED to. In example, not closing the monthly polls until near the end of the month, as I need to start planning for whichever story I'll start writing on the 1st. I probably won't close the pokemon polls until it actually wins again...

Novus's Fanfiction Works

Fair :-). Personally I want Automata to win like...twice more. Since 2-3 updates are all it needs to finish up and that would remove one of the stories from the poll. Five is honestly a bit much.

SpiritFoxAlf

It's my first time voting this way sorry

Novus's Fanfiction Works

Oh, don't worry about it :-p. There are ALWAYS people who do that. It's actually worse when someone at the 5 vote tier only votes for 3 stories and I'm technically adding a repeating number onto votes. At least 5/4 divided somewhat cleanly ;-). Vote how you like!

galaxy dragon

I think it's mostly that people like me have a bunch of stories they want you to update so they try to even out the update window on The story so you don't lose motivation for other books and I think people might be trying to avoid another repeat of halfway broken dominating every story so it gets spaced out, or at least that's what I try to do

Novus's Fanfiction Works

@galaxy dragon Hopefully that's true :-). Of course, I also hope Automata will win a couple of times so I can get it off the poll entirely by finishing it, making the update windows a bit better :-p.
